Nope, no requirement for TV size. Exactly what size are you using though?

I have a couple comments for you. First of all, if you are gonna play PS3 on an SDTV, you probably wont be able to read most of the words, especially if your playing sports games or BUZZ. for some reason, PS3 + SD means blurry words.

Secondly, if you get an HDTV, whether it's LCD or Plasma, you'll need HDMI cables. My cousin was playing on and HDTV for 2 days before I could bring him HDMI cables and he said the difference was night and day, as he was pretty much still seeing the picture in SD with the composite cables the console comes with.

Dont worry yourself with all the techno-babble. A PS3 will work just fine on a regular tv. No part of the screen will be cut off, the games are designed to work for both kinds of tvs.

I would reccomend you go ahead and get the ps3, it will work. Then when you get the money for a high definition tv, it will be a very sweet upgrade.

I had a 27 inch SDTV for almost a year before I upgraded to HD. You won't have any trouble with it, I could see the life bars on the screen fine, nothing cut off. I just couldn't read most of the print, for some reason it was extremely fuzzy. You'll be ok, and once you upgrade to HD it will be that much better.
