Cuboid is definitely my favorite "small" PSN game. IMO, it's better than Echochrome. It has a ton of puzzles. There are about 30 puzzles in the normal mode, and 30 more puzzles in the expert mode. This isn't a game that you'll be able to blow through in an hour as it actually requires some brain power - which is why I like it so much. Ben's review said this:

"For only ten bucks, Cuboid is one of the best purchases you can make on the PlayStation Network, plain and simple. It’s bound to capture your interest immediately if you love games like this, and even if you don’t, it’s worth trying. The weather is terrible in many parts of the world and there isn’t much in the way of highly anticipated releases for another month or so, so now’s a great time to pick this one up. In only a few minutes time, you can be rolling and pondering your way to a very satisfying afternoon."

Killzone is amazing!

my mate who is a die hard CoD fan (and I mean big time!) was over last night, he wasnt convinced before, so we went out.. few beers later we returned and played the first level of KZ... at first it was painful to watch as he stunbled across the stumbled the wastes..it was like watching your mum play it (lol).. he was all over the place.

he didnt 'get' the controls straight away, but he got better... til he got to the point where he understood how great it is, and got used to the control and where he was going and what he was doing.

It was a very amusing night, he used the Magnum though most of the game and took on some long range shots with it that I wold never of even tried ... lol, was superb.

btw, looks like Cuboid is next on my list form the PSN.. cheers powershifter!

I currently have Valkyria Chronicles in the PS3 (well not right at this minute, my nephew's playing LBP) and Halo Wars in the 360. I hadn't intended to get Halo Wars right now (if at all) and still hadn't finished downloading the demo, but apparently my brother ordered it and it arrived yesterday. Seems good so far.

im not so good with strategy games, is it more action based or is Halo Wars a strat master?

but hey, cant be as bad as Quake wars lol.. did anyone have that? I brought it before the demo came out here... wow, it was painful, such a shame.

is Valkyria good? is there any magic and swords or is it all tanks and mortars? I played the demo, and seemed a bit like a WWII RPG, loved the style but the immediate content didnt grab me.

HW is a fairly by-the-numbers RTS. At the moment it hasn't really done anything ground-breaking, but it does take the classic PC RTS formula (which Ensemble were already good with) and does a great job of making it work on a console.

VC pretty much plays out like the demo, you have exactly the same unit types as you did there, and aside from boss characters the enemy has them too. The variation comes from the layouts of the maps, the amount of spawn points and the different objectives. I'm finding it pretty good and it reminds me of my Warhammer tabletop gaming days, but the AI has been fairly lenient so far, to the point that even if I make stupid mistakes it's difficult to lose.

it does look really good, and people I knwo who have it love it. but they pretty much said what you said, so I guess I will leave it.

...I might give the demo another shot!

Some game called Killzone 2. Kinda came out of the blue. Picked it up on a whim. Impulse buy.
