Hitman Absolution is fastly becoming one of my all time favourite games. The contracts mode is fantastic. I'd being playing Dillon's contract over and over until I beat his score, eventually (It took a few tries). It was great fun. Then getting to create your own and sharing it and having other people play and rate it is freakin' sweet.
Just going back to the story now so I can unlock more maps to use in the Contracts mode. The game just sucks you right in. |

Got Crysis 2 as a gift during the Thanksgiving Steam Sale. I love that the lowest setting for any graphical adjustment is 'High' and it just goes up from there. Reminds me of the scene in Seinfeld where Elaine is trying to order a small popcorn and informed that there is no Small anymore; Small is Medium, Medium is Large, and Large is Jumbo. Or in Crysis 2 Low is High, Medium is Very High, High is Ultra and Ultra is Extreme.
Fantastic looking game, though, and I'm only like an hour and a half into it, but it's already a lot more fun than I remember the original being. |

Crysis 2 is the best shooter I've played in years. Many years.

The core shooting in the game just isn't good enough, IMO, for that to end up being my opinion, but the open world, visuals, and the fun of using the nano suit's fancy powers make it a blast to play.
I can already tell that Crytek's standard 'every enemy is a bullet sponge and some are super duper fantastimastical bullet sponges' is going to apply to this game, too. That's one of my biggest pet peeves in shooters. |

i did enjoy Crysis 2, but it was game of two halves. the first half reminded me a little of MGS, loved the stealth, fantastic. The second half reminded me of every other FPS I've played, and it wasn't that great either. but i was more than happy to pick it up again for free via the PSN+ ....it is s great shooter there is no denying it.
BUT, although the graphics are very good on the console there is one graphical pig that I cannot stand and thats the flies! for a game that looks as good as it did, why did the flies around bins and rubbish look like a throw back from PS1 days?! anyway, looking forward to Crysis 3!

Well it is the nanosuit that is the game, imo. Without it there would only be a plain shooter left. Good looking, but plain still.
But man, that suit... I loved every second of that game. Crysis 3, along with Bioshock Infinite is my most anticipated games for 2013. Yes, even higher than GTA5. |
