The signature says it all.

Although technically I'm not actually PLAYING Resonance of Fate yet, since the postal service is taking it's own sweet time getting it to me. But I WILL be. Oh... I WILL be.

I don't suppose anyone else here will be playing it... or has even heard of it?

You do us a disservice, good sir. There are plenty of jRPG nuts here who know of Resonance of Fate's existence. I'm not one of them*, but Eurogamer's review did make it sound interesting.

*A jRPG nut, that is. I have heard of the game though.

I'm currently playing RoF, and enjoying it very much. Vash is awesome, plus they got Nolan North to do his voice which was fantastic.

What else? GOWIII. Truly epic in so may ways. The game is right on par the likes of MGS4 and Uncharted 2.

IMO it's better than both, I don't see anything else coming out this year that's gonna top it.

So, Oyashiro, what score (out of 10) would you give RoF so far? Oh, and awesome Cloud quote in your sig, btw.

In certain areas it is, like gore and action. Killing people with the blades is quite gratifying. It just doesn't match the type of story telling that got me into Metal Gear, but GOWIII makes up for it in so many ways and is equally as epic, just in different ways than MGS or Uncharted games.

I'll be going on in about an hour so I'll be back to working on GoW II. It's been a hectic week and I don't play certain M rated games around my kids. Been helping them out with school projects but a dad's gotta do what a dad's gotta do. I really need to get back to Heavy Rain too. Someone stop the clock for a week or so, please.

I personally think the storytelling in God of War games is top notch, and as much as I love the MGS games, they can get so over the top absurd, and there's soooooo much pointless exposition, that I really wouldn't call it great storytelling. The best installment was Snake Eater, IMO, because it really stripped away a lot of that excess baggage and focused on a simple, but powerful, story.
