The Benny (Macho)

Completed the Modern Warfare 2 campaign pn PS3 tonight, with the game's stats page clocking it at six hours and twenty minutes on normal difficulty. It's a great campaign in terms of pacing and spectacle, even if the story veers a lot more towards Hollywood blockbuster territory than CoD4 ever did and gets a bit silly as a result. Soap and Price are great and their side of the campaign was always excellent, while the US side of it wasn't quite as enjoyable because I'm not that keen on the military stuff.

Played a couple of online games tonight. It's quite daunting jumping into a game and seeing everybody is at least level forty while I'm a puny level one. It's fun though and I do okay, in a directionless wandering, many more deaths than kills sort of way, but that will improve as I learn the layouts and get the hang of this whole killing thing.

Took a few days off gaming, now I'm back playing FFXIII, but I had to make some progress in Heavy Rain too. Almost finished my first play through. When all the RPG dust settles I will go ahead and experiment more with the endings. I like to beat a game, put it away, then soak it back up again later on when things settle down.

Finally managed a play through of Heavy Rain, really really enjoyed that game a lot. So went online MW2 for a bit and then threw in a bit of Yakuza 3. Tomorrow I plan on spending some time with FF13 at some point.

I'm currently playing Battlefield Bad Company 2. I was gonna get FFXIII, but I thought BFBC2 had more replay value because of online and the fact that a lot of my friends have the game.

I don't think I'll be getting a new (60 dollar) game anytime soon. I'm running short on money from college books. I might be able to buy a used game here and there valued around 20 bucks, if I'm lucky.
