Woohoo, beat Dragon Age tonight, I wanted to get it done before xmas games come. True epicness that one. I was worried that it wouldn't be able to accurately give me an ending that reflected all my decisions but it succeeded quite well. Better than Fallout 3 at any rate. Can't wait to replay it and do other stuff next time.

DAO is definitely a superb game, few touch it this year. So Bayonetta, is anybody considering this one? I should be close to done with AC2 within a few weeks and looking for something to further whet my gaming desires until i finally jump into mw2 which no doubt will be a very long campaign. I can jump back into batman aa anytime, which is more than a fun campaign... Sounds like the 360 version is gettin better reviews on bayonetta than the ps3, at least on ign...

The Bayonetta demo was quite fun (on both consoles, so apparently I can't identify huge technical flaws very well), but I'm not keen on that genre in general so it's not something I'll even be considering until it's very cheap.

If I drink enough tonight, I may just rip open one of the Fairytale Fights that I got and have a go at it. I've got a bottle of tequila staring at me and it keeps winking. Silly little girl. I think she wants to make me happy and upset me at the same time.

I think Shirt messed up. He said in the "What are you buying..." thread that it was time to move it to Off-Topic as people were using it for non-gaming stuff, but that's still in Gaming and this gaming one is now in Off-Topic

I've recently played: Army of Two: The 40th Day demo. Oddly the demo only supports multiplayer and not solo play, so I just set it to splitscreen co-op and played through solo to try it out. It meant I didn't get to try out the aggro but didn't actually encounter any problems because of it (although I didn't play the whole thing, as it goes on a while). In general it seems to be better than the original game, particularly with the characterisation, and there are also more upgrade options for the weapons. Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues demo: The original Lego Indy was probably the weakest of all the TT Lego games, but they've made some dramatic improvements here (and while this game will include the original films, they've all been completely remade). In the demo pretty much everything is better than in previous games. There's targeting for guns/whips, better object handling, dynamic splitscreen co-op to end those horrible camera issues, better vehicle controls, and some other things. It's all more what you'd call refinement rather than radical overhauls, but it really does help. I also played the Dante's Inferno demo, but there's a separate thread for that. |
