I have clocked 7 hour and 48 minutes.

Done 9 missions, got virtual hand job, nailed the girl 4-5 times. Killed 37 people. Drove drunk ones and got shot by police. Played bowling, pool, and dart. Seen weird cabaret show, with the girl but didn't like it. Died 9 times.

All this in just the first day in Liberty City playing.

Thank you R* for awesome time, and times to come.

I dont get much gaming time nowadays and I fear if it is brilliant online I wont finish the main game lol

With GTA3 it just seemed to be a limit on the amount of data the game can keep in memory. So if it could only store half a dozen car types you would only see those cars. That's until you find a location that will always have a different car type, which then replaces one of the cars in memory with the new one and suddenly what seemed to be a rare car is now everywhere.

It was also why a street full of cars could change simply by rotating the camera, because once they were out of sight the game stopped tracking them.

The only open-world game I've properly played since GTA3 is Crackdown on the 360 which lacked those technical issues to a certain extent, able to keep track of a fair amount of off-screen data and keep the car variation quite high, so I imagine GTA4 will be closer to that than GTA3. It's only a reasonably minor technical detail anyway, not something that should detract from the game itself.

Well for me, im looking to see a reason to buy a ps3, having one game that they can really hang their hat on would make it more of a reason to buy one. But since a lot of the good games seem to come out on multiplatform systems it makes it less desireable to focus on one system, which is what i want to do. Although each system offers its own advantages, there still isnt enough going on ps3 yet to focus on it and it alone, not for me, and that is what i want to do. So yep your right its great for multiplatforms, but doesnt make it any easier to decide on one system, not yet anyways....... i am hearing that GTAIV will be the top grossing game of all times though, before this is over, so its indeed great for all platforms...

Roman: Picked up the Jamaican guy for the first time, and drove him around.

Vlad: Went to kill the guy who was going to mess with Roman, decided to save him instead of kill him.

Roman (side): went and played darts, cabaret, and went and got drunk. OMFG! That was insane! I've gotten really f'ed up, and the world is never like that! LOL My eyes were watery by the time I got Roman back!

Michelle: bowling, accidently took her to the fried chicken place, cabaret, and bowling again. Went upstairs for coffee (coffee... lol, bs!) twice!

Stolen about 22 cars, never been arrested. Bought several outfits from the clothing store.

I've yet to be seriously killed. When I'm ready to turn it off, I like to go save, walk out of the apt, and just going on a rampage. I start shooting everyone that moves, wait for the police to show, then start shooting at them (holy crap, that pisses them off! HAHAHA!), steal a car, and either hold my ground till I die try to make a getaway (while of course, mowing down more people!), in which case I find no means to escape and often die trying!

Anyway, this game does in fact rule. get online guys it is hilarious fun. Just watch out for the RPG's.

Single player so far is fantastic have put several hours in and am really enjoying it. Just a shame as soon as you logon to the xbox you get invited to somany online games LOL Cops and crooks is great fun

edit on my first thought about Michelle..

I think she's a cop. she keeps on asking wierd questions. at first she said she was from the mid west, and I remember one of CJ's grlfriends was from the mid west and was a copper, also she looked a bit like Michelle.
Since then ive looked up San Andreas, and im sure that wasnt her.. i still think she's iffy tho!
