lol, bah! Figured I'd start this thread since it's going to be started at somepoint real soon!

Got home 45 minutes ago with the game in hand.
Waited outside the local GameStop for 2 hours, only to be told... They didn't have anymore for non reserves.
BAH!

So I walked down to EBGame...
Caught them as they were about to close the gate, plenty of both!
So, have the game in now, and gonna go play!

Anyone else go to a midnight opening?

I'll have something to say about the game tomorrow at some point!

Well a couple of hours later, I just wanna say some of the stuff in this game is just over the top funny! I found myself laughing most of the time, just following the opening portion of the game. Find it funny they mention that Albanians are a big part of the game, because the first thing I was thinking to myself was "these guys look very much Albanian!" I've worked with alot of people from Albania, so yeah... They nailed that pretty well!

Gameplay feels kinda familiar from GTA3 which I played a little bit years ago.

side note, I did end up getting the 360 version since my friendlist on LIVE! is just alot bigger. I've yet to kind of get a feel for all the excitement over GTAIV, but it is atleast entertaining.

this game is great.

at first im thinking everyone over hyped it, it wasnt the god send i had obviously worked up in my mind.

but layer after layer, you peel back the folds of GTA4 and its fkg amazing.

ive been playing it for hours how, and i have to say that its beter than i imagined, and in the knowledge that i havent even scratched the surace yet, just tuning in to an even more awesome game that i thought it would be.

edit: FSCK! I forgot because its so recent.... my 360 just got the red ring of death the other night and I had to call it in yesterday.... which means I won't have a 360 to play it on for like a month and a half once I send it out..

Not a whole lot of places (if any) in this barren wasteland of Vermont to rent consoles... And if there was it's almost probably for the better, as I'm going to be packing up and moving to Pittsburgh at the end of next month. Save the money and leave some free time mixed in there.

Looks like my birthday will pretty much be primarily Diablo 2 and drinking alone. (I broke up with my girlfriend last week, so no free 'rides' there)

May just be the first killer app for ps3, but with the 360 having it also, kinda waters down the effect. Good to hear a pretty much cant miss game has come along for ps3 anyways...

I got it now too, it is installing right now. So not any gameplay on me yet. But I must say that I haven't been so excited over a game for a long long time.

yo know, usually in GTA, 10 hours in i would be looking for my secret packages (theyre not packages this time around).. insane jumps, that sort of thing, you know just wishing i could get to the other island.

i just dont have time for that. too busy just hanging around, doing missions and pissing off my (now) ex... what did i do!?!?! lol... i was too fresh
