all game saves like in Cod etc are usually saved on the games servers.. its just single offline game that are affected..

..and of course all the flaming patches and upgrades! GTP was the worst! took hours as the patch kept failing.. it did the very first time i downloaded it, this time was actually better.

anyway, i havent done Oblivion, GH3 or RFOM installs yet, i'll wait until i need to play those games.

the most annoying thing is that i have pretty much brought every game on the PSN worth buying, and in my warped mind, thats almost every game. now i have to download the again!

oh the hours and days it will take!

just played GRiD.. on one hand i love it, on the other hand im a bit disappointed.. hey ho.

Sorry to hear that Dillon, damn man

I'm about 74% game complete total. Around 17 missions left of the story line and I'm hunting flying rats lol. For the past 6 hours or so. The official game guide is all loving and I suggest people pick it up. It's somewhat layed out pretty crappy due to the entire game guide being a walkthrough. But the detailed maps are are sweet. 70 flying rats to go!

Since most here are PS3 gta4 players, there was one achivement for the 360 that had me really mad for the first time since Call of Duty 2 for the 360 lol. "Do 5 rolls in a car" Took me 3 hours alone to get it right with a 5 star rating cause of the airport.

I've put in about 76 hours now into the game since April 29th at 12:20am lol. Besides Final Fantasy XI (1 1/2 year game time? lol, 550 days or so) and Final Fantasy X with 100 hours and Crisis Core at 40 hours, GTA4 is going to be up there with alot of gaming hours.

6 stars is the unlocked bridge (I didnt get the achivment cause I already unlocked that part when I found out about it). I'm going to do another play through for the under 30 hours and the 6 star "one man army" one. It's tough to get if you can surive long enough lol. I did get a black FiB car and that cop hummer car to add to my collection from some tough driving lol with a 5 star rating.

I managed to go to algonquin right after I started playing (through the subway). I stayed alive a fair bit amount of time (until I got to the surface that is).

I've gotten six stars once and died right after trying to get onto a bike. It's much harder now since they can shoot you through the windows of cars and on your bike, not like the last games.
Went for about 30 mins on 5 stars. Almost made it out but one of those damn helicopters found me and I died.

Well we must be coming up on about a month since launch, so with the hype faded a bit I thought I'd ask what your opinions are of the game. Is it a big step forward in terms of features? The same game as before but in HD? Or are there bits missing from the last gen that you wish were still here?

Also, how pronounced are the technical issues I mentioned earlier on? The "occasional repetition of car models in your immediate vicinity" as soon as you find a new vehicle, things disappearing as soon as you rotate the camera around, the framerate etc.

The worst I've heard is people saying that they no longer check for cops before they do something illegal because things just spawn as soon as you turn your back, and how as soon as they grab a bike the streets are suddenly full of them. They were people who were generally dissatisfied with the game though so I was wondering what y'all thought of it, being more positive about the game and all.

Oh, and are there still bomb truck missions? Chase missions that you fail by not catching them in time and have to redo (including cutscenes and travelling to it)? Those are the kinds of things that turned me off the series since they went 3D.

This post probably sounds more negative than I mean it to be. I'm fairly indifferent to GTA but, like a few other big franchises, the more it gets unanimous perfect reviews (including some without a single criticism) the more out of sync I feel with most of the hobby...

I think the game's fine. Sure it's not perfect, but the gameplay itself has been improved compared to previous GTA. That's huge for me.
