so.. got mine today..

who else is buying this.. and what was your first car?


mine was a Golf 05, and quickly realised online that no one else chose that car but it did me well enough until i was forced to change it.

Just a couple of questions.. does anyone else have a message saying the date and time is wrong? Hmm.. weird, because i cant seem to change it although the calander does seem correct to me.

also is there anyway of playing your friends or seeign whos online?

i realise that we may get a wee bit of DLC with this game, because they may want to add something to it over the up coming 12 months until GT5 arrives.. so the playing friends question may be answered in time, if its not possible now.


anyway, ive just started my B class, but have been playing online a lot. very very cool. i havent won a race yet, usually come in between 5th and 9th.. but its murder on the track at times, lol.. very amusing to just drive behind it all and watch it all happen.


oh, and my thoughts on this game are ..im enjoying it very much!

Not played online. Completed grade c with just two silvers and now working through grade b. I am finding the car specific tasks to be more difficult than the standard races.

Started with the RX8, then the Capacino and the Integra, then the Mitsubishi Evo IX when I got to grade B.

I was hoping for a more exciting garage layout and I'm not liking the music but the game itself is nice to play.

I know someone who bougth a ps3 and that expensive logitech steering wheel for $700 just for that game alone (and eventually the full GT5). I told him he's crazy. :P

damn, didnt see the RX8.. Yeah, i knw what u mean about the garage, but to be honest i just expected GT5P to be like GT concept or GT4 Prologue, so am pleasently happy so far. Tho i do like to look at my cars in a list, rather than one by one.

lol, you have probably payed him a great compliment there, or at least the PS3 anyway!

im now on S rank, been playing my little heart out on this game, and it is incredible, if i had the money i would buy a wheel.. and for me to say that, it means something!

funny thing is, as Gabe pointed out.. this is flawed, there are cracks in the GT armour, but whats amazing is that everyone out there is treating this like a full game, and its not.

the fact that your mate has gone out and spent $700 on a demo is amazing, but quite justified if you ask me, lol... im sure he will buy MGS4 (?), i hope he does anyway!

but this prologue in theory could last everone a year.. all they have to do is give us a few more cars, some GT-TV, to be able to play our mates online and the ability to transfer our game Data to the full GT5 and i think this will be one of the biggest selling games of the year.


so.. Gabe? anyone.. how far are you through this GT5P?

Now I've finished C and B and a couple of the A races. Also completed a few of the manufacturer events. Dillon, did you have some of the same problems with the unusual difficulty on some of the challenges? I take it you unlock S challenges after completing A?

I have noticed at least one of the manufacturer events appears locked (Mitsubishi). As you have made more progress than me Dillon can you please check if yours has now opened up. I can't even click the event icon unlike in all the other listings.

I need to take my PS3 upstairs and get online soon.

A question I have is what sort of online player are you? Will you use the standard cars or simply use one of the top 3 available? I remember on PGR3 online I just couldn't really get a race where gamers were using proper cars, instead going for the damn Ferrari Enzo ALL THE FRIKKEN TIME!

nope. 'shooting sucks with a controller', he said. i then proceeded to tell him that if he lends me his ps3, I'll buy mgs4 for myself, and use his ps3 to play it. i have yet to have a definitive answer for this question.

yeh, online is interesting.. you can use any car in your garage, but you may not be able to enter in to any race.. but it will come very clear when you start playing. you wont be able to play DK or myself yet , which is a real shame, but i guess they want everyone ploaying everyone at the start, give it a few months and i reckon we will see some sort of DLC that will deal with this.

I will check that Manufacturer event.. off the top of my head cant remember if i saw it, just brought the tune Evo X.. the Mines Skyline is next on my list!! but its like 200 grand or more!


also yeh, 'S' class is unlocked after A, im on 'A' now... on C and B there were some race's with that Honda car where you had to over take everyone in a lap.. how hard??? spent hours doing some, yet a lot of the actual races if your in a good car are quite easy.

Some races are so hard, im glad youre having problems, lol.. I thought it was me! and I know youre a much better GT driver than I!



Sunny... i cant believe he's not getting MGS4! lol.. you must liberate the PS3 come June 12th!

I don't get why some are like a walk in the park and others are hard as nails. I suppose one way to narrow the chances of us meeting online is to agree a track and car before hand then just keep playing it until we're in the same race

I'm buying a lot of the lower grade cars first to give me the biggest choice when I want a blast in arcade mode so it will be a long time before I get too many of the A and S grade cars.
