Question How is Suikoden III

I've been looking at getting Suikoden III for a while now and I still haven't purchased it yet. I see how the game is difficult to find because only a few stores in my area have it. I was just wondering if I should go ahead and buy it next? I am a big fan of Suikoden I and II though. Can someone please tell me what they think of it?

Well, I have only played it 6 hours (stopped because I then found suiko1 and told myself that I would play suiko2 as well before starting suiko3) - and I don't see why you wouldn't like it if you enjoyed Suiko1. It is better, from my short experience with it than Suiko1 (the storyline unfolds in an original way, there are more shops, trading, etc).

The only area where I find the game completely unimpressive is the music. The rest is at least average (graphics) to above average.

Thanks for your help. The music in the other Suikoden games wasn't all the great in my opinion. I still haven't finished I and II but I'm pretty far. I do like the idea of a lot more towns though. However, I'm still a little unsure about the battle system in Suikoden III. I was hearing that the battle system uses some buddy system and not the traditional one that the other Suikoden games used.

Anyway, I will buy this game next.

well i havent played the first 2 suikoden games so i cant really compair it to suikoden 3. im 30 hours into the game and loving every bit of it. as for the battle system, its kinda hard to explain so i think youre better off going to gamefaqs.com and reading one of the faqs that explains the battle system.

in my opinion, the game is alittle on the easy side. there are times where it can get a little hard but nothing to frustrating.

I just hope the same thing doesn't happen to you that's happened to me. I couldn't believe that I traded in my Shining Force III for Sega Saturn and didn't buy Panzer Dragoon Saga for $55 when I could. That is why I try to buy up all rare games.

Anyway, I'm going out tomarrow and I'm going to see how many stores carry Suikoden III. I don't have the money right now because I just purchased Dual Hearts. I'm hoping my Toy's R US will still have at least one of their 12 copies in about a month.

Actually Barrett, i sold my copy of Panzer Saga on Ebay a year ago for $140. Still have my copy of Shining Force 3, and also have Dracula X (175), and Radiant Silvergun (180), two unopened copies of Ikaruga RS2, Dragon Force 1 +2( both mint), Earthbound, Saturn Bomberman, etc, etc, about twenty five Saturn games with the average value being around $45 a peice. So no big need for another rare game, although its fun finding a bargain, i totally agree! Bought Panzer Saga for $45 brand new originally...
