lol. The only reason why I'm always posting those damn monkeys is cause MGS4 might contain some monkey mini games like the MGS games before. Who knows, they do like taking up space.

I don't think it was mistranslated. Kojima's been pretty bullish about selling the virtues of the PS3 for some time now, and this statement is incompatible with some other things he's said about the game such as it being technically possible on 360. If it was technically possible on the 360 but was pushing 50GB, then the 360 version (if there was one) would take at least FIVE discs, since it still uses regular DVD discs.
