I don’t know if this is true or not, but one thing we can be certain on, if this is true, they are not interested in knowing how a Black Hole would react! This kinda scares me,

They just want to provide the troops with some top notch gaming to keep them occupied when not out in the field kicking ass.

but... if it was Osama Bin Laden's crew buying 300 ps3.. there would be a public out cry, but its ok for the US Air Force to do it??? lol... its not good really, either way you look at it.
If it was for the troops to have some gaming fun and laughs, then i would say fair play.

but its not for that.

I say that anything the US or UK troops can do to make them more effective is good in my opinion.

Just bey happy they're buying 300 PS3s, and not 300 360s... LOL, I'd hate to think of the idea of the US Air Force RRoDing in the middle of a special ops mission.

Problems that could arise...

Red Alert of Doomsday (RAoD)

Target Read Error (in which case weapons don't fire and you probably get ejected forcefully)

The US Air Force would have to spend $50/year per xbox360 ($15,000) to avoid 300 solo ops.

Intel on discs would be limited to 9gb and important info might get removed to fit it onto the disc.

Microsoft is watching them.

As for using the Cell for tech advances in the name of war, I guess if it wasnt the Cell in the PS3, it would be the Cell in its raw state, just that they would pay more for it. either way they will get what they want to do the job they need it for.

and yeh, I bet Microsoft are watching closely!!
