I never realised this. Gamespot have reported that an R18 rating is being sought in Australia as currently the maximum rating is MA15. This obviously excludes a lot of top selling titles from the ANZ stores.

There are of course a few out dated senators who believe that there is nothing wrong with the current rating system but I hope, on behalf of all the Australian gamers, that this issue picks up some speed and drags them into the 21st century.

interesting, but dont forget that all normal games in the past with blood and gore get changed over in Oz. in GTA3, VC and SA you cant chop limbs off.. and i think the blood has been calmed down. same with other horror games that display guts and stuff.

tho that was games of old, i read something a few weeks ago about how GTA4 will remain unchanged this time for Oz... certainly a change to the norm.
