Surely, everybody has a game they've played that they're crazy about but one that wasn't an enormous mainstream hit and still hasn't had a follow up.
Games I want off the top of my head: SHENMUE III Holy jeeze I need to know the end of this damn story. I finished the second game like 7 years ago and the cliff-hanger ending leaves open the door for so many possibilities not just for the story, but the gameplay as well. At this point, its pretty much gotten depressing to think about. What are you waiting for SEGA?! Eternal Darkness sequel How this game didn't sell Gamecubes by the truckload baffles me. Great, simple gameplay, spooky shit, and a mini-epic story. However with Silicon Knights appearing to be on board with Xbox 360 now, if they ever released a sequel it wouldn't help me out seeing as I'm a Ps3 owner now but still... I might just pony up the dough to play that game. Ring of Red sequel I'd be shocked if anybody played this Konami game besides the reviewers at this site. For those of you who haven't, if you own a Ps2 and you like robot/mech games do yourself a favor a find a used copy for $5 at Gamestop/Ebgames. This game had some sick strategy based upon a alternate post WWII future (not really Resistance style or anything but still pretty sick). Shadow of Destiny sequel I'd be equally surprised if anybody played this Konami game, but this was another pretty chilled out point and click adventure game where you time traveled to prevent your own death. Super intriguing story and relaxing gameplay, and even though you had not only like 5 possible endings to satiate your need for a conclusion, the idea was so cool I think it should be explored even further. Alas these are all probably fantasies never to be realized but its fun to hope. Hell SEGA put out a NiGHTS game after 12 or something years, I guess anything is within the realm of possibility. Anybody else have some games they've played that deserve to be revived?

lol, first thing that game to mind was ETERNAL CHAMPIONS. Was for the Sega CD, when Sega Saturn hit, there was supposed to be another one made, but it was scrapped. Was way better than Mortal Kombat. I actually bought the Saturn with hopes for this game. I should have bought a Playstation.
Heck, while we're on Sega CD, remake NIGHT TRAP, the game that truly brought about ESBR ratings! Perhaps another LUNAR game so I can stop kneeling to SquareEnix for a few minutes. They could make a fortune of following up with more of the Goddess Althena! Wouldn't mind seeing the Xenogears/Xenosaga series continued by some means, or another timeline of sorts. Halo 4 (heck, anything bringing back Master Chief, I'll be happy. Halo 3 ending 4tl!). Enough said! If I have to think about the sad look on Cortana's face for much longer, I'm going to light the rings on Bungie! ![]() side note: I never did get to play SHENMUE II, loved the first one though. |

I'm going to second the Lunar suggestion; those two are certainly in my top five of all time.
Perhaps a Vagrant Story sequel? However, more than anything I'm looking forward to some progression on the next "Chrono" title. I'm confident there will be more in store for that series. (Ports of all of the original classics to the PSP would be more than welcome as well ) |

I'm all for a Shadow of Destiny and Vagrant Story sequel. Yes, please!
I'd also like to see another Chrono (whatever happened to Chrono Break?), and of course, a Twisted Metal for the PS3, which just might happen... I suppose I could always pine for a Final Fantasy Tactics sequel (a real one, not whatever that was that showed up on the PSP), but that'll never happen now. Those games will only be for handhelds in the future, I fear. ![]()

They did make another PE, but it was for mobile phones. I'd love to see another one for consoles.

I forgot Vagrant Story. Yes Please!
Maybe G-Police? Not sure if this counts but I want to see a proper Mech Warrior game on the PS3 with the same level of customisation as Mech Warrior 4 on the PC. I don't even care if they have the keyboard as a requirement due to the large number of control requirements.
