U know I was checking out the arcade and I came across double dragon. That game is still really great and I think they should make it for playstation format PS2/3. Even if they hafta follow the same story line as 1 or 2, they could do something with the characters, or they can use the cartoon series storyline, they could also release a few couple, then take the characters and make it tekken-like, what do you think?

if you have a psp, check out a game called The Warriors. not only is it way more than a ps2 port, but has another game in it called Armys of the night. basically its Double Dragon but somewhat evolved.
i would love to see a next gen DD, i wouldnt be surprised to see it in the next couple of years.

It's a shame that the whole 2D scrolling beat-em-up genre has fallen out of favour. I had fun with things like Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Double Dragon and the like, not least because co-operative play was a standard feature. I think it's one of those genres that didn't benefit from the jump to 3D (with the camera often being an issue), or indeed the move away from the challenging coin-op mentality that made games hard to get you to spend more money.
Still, with Live Arcade, WiiWare and whatever the Sony version is called (is it just the PS Store?) there's no reason simple games like that can't see a resurgence, assuming there's a demand for them. |

one game that imo was the best of the best was Renegade. i lost so much time in that game, Renegade one and two.. no.3 sucked like an old woman eating lemons.
Renegade by far was my favourite side sctrolling, a close second was Streets of Rage. but i think two and three was my fav, i like no.1 but i played SoR3 for ages. Golden Axe was ok, but prefered SoR on the Sega.
