Warhawk v1.10 Mess up

I play Warhawk everyday and there was nothing in the anouncement page about the update right up to actually geting it, they could have let us know that it would mess up if we downloaded it before a certain time.
I switched on around 4.00pm, it offered me the update, so as far as I knew it was ready, why else would it be avalible right? wrong. the game started to act like I wasn't the owner and when I called Sony about it they said to leave it alone and it would sort itself out which was incorrect, I found out that I had to delete it, d/l it again and get the patch later when it was actually ready.
I found this out from the Official PS forums, but it didn't seem to be anybody official with the info and apparently(how true this is I don't know) Dylan Jobe was on the US forum(where there wasn't a problem) talking about it, now why he didn't come on the Euro forum and tell the people that matted I'll never know.
it seems to be one kock up after another with this game and Im losing my rag with it

its not that we jumped the gun, its that I (like 99% of Europeans) turned on WH to be faced with a message asking if would we like to get the new patch.. I thought to myself Hmmm yes i would like to get the new patch that i have heard soooo much about.

so I download the patch...

after the download i got the 'you dont own the rights to play this game' screen...

so it wasnt us guys jumping the gun, its was Mr and Mrs Warhawk not informing people or dare i say it.. actually providing the patch correctly.

now am i upset that ALL MY STATS HAVE BEEN REDUCED TO BUGGER ALL?

no, what im more upset about is the not only have they reduced my stats to bugger all, but its bloody wrong! lol.

I have enough points to be Airman 1st class.. but im only an Airman! small picky point, but still its not right.

I too am getting rather tired of this. as i said in a previous post, that they should of given us (the players) something in return for shipping/making/providing a glitchy game.. and we the players who have payed hard cash for the BRD or the PSN version should be treated with respect by Incognito, that being in the form of keeping our clothes not the class would of been fine or something else, but to get the revised classes wrong is mad, its silly. Its like they only half arsed fixed it, and even then forgot about the whole of Europe.

i still love WH, but i am personally getting a bit tired of it all.

I've updated the story; I didn't want it to sound as if European gamers were at fault. Sorry if I did.

Anyway dillon, did you try that method of getting your game back in the story...? Maybe everything will return to normal.

As for me, the patch worked fine and I'm running v1.1, but for whatever reason, I'm still a Brigadier General (ranked up a couple days ago). One more and I'm a General, the highest rank. I thought this patch was supposed to fix the rank of anybody who "accidentally" ranked up...? Are they trying to tell me I legitimately hold that rank? Impossible. If you can't, I can't. I'm going to post my updated stats later in a new Warhawk Stats thread I'll make.

I didn't take you to mean it was our fault Ben(just so you know) I don't think people realize just how much Europe is left in the dark.
If the above balls up happend to anybody, the method Ben and my first post discribes is the only way(as far as Im aware) to get it back cos it won't even boot up, and as I said before the patch will then be fine, anything crappy that happens after that is just another balls up. the first thing that happend to me after the patch I got booted from the first game I tried. Incognito couldn't organize a shag in a whore house

yeh, DK told me over the PSN last night what to do, and it worked. i figured that was what i should do, but i wanted to wait until others deleted and reinstalled before i did. lol.

but i had a feeling we were going dow that route. when Sony told DK that it would be sorted out, and just to wait. there was no way it was 'going to sort its self out', not with an error like that.

i reckon Sony had hundreds of calls and was just telling everyone that it would be ok, rather than how to fix it.

dont worry Ben, and im glad you updated the news story, lol.. it did sound like we could of averted the glitch, when there was no chance.

as for the Rank.. i see that DK is now a Wingman, and should be! i have 890 points (so little, so far to go!) and Airman 1st class i believe is for points over 500... so i should be 1st clas AM.

i hope they sort it, and i hope Incognito are a little bit nicer to those who line their pockets.

Im a wingman? I haven't seen that lol Ive played a ranked game, loged out and back in but it didn't change for me I was still airmarshal or whatever it was.

you are definitly a wingman on my game, but check and see what you are in yours.. it shouldnt be different, but you never know!!!

Ben.. my WH says youre now a Sergeant...

i dont think its very nice to throw people off their rank without some sort of compensation.

Oh well, fair's fair. I haven't gotten a chance to make that official Warhawk stat thread yet, but maybe someone can do it for me... We can kinda keep track of everyone's progress, even though there are a TON of other games coming out very soon. LOL
