I am pretty sure it has a split screen option Hannible. It was on the menu on the beta but not usable...

Dillon if you like sniping, try not to hold your breath to long when sniping LOL thats all I will say, you will find out.

lol, you mean i will hicup or pass out or something? cool...

here is the Blog spot from the guy who has the PS3 version, and bloody hell, i mean... just wow. http://avspics.blogspot.com/

i think as was posted on the main page http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/2081.html either port from the ps3 to other consoles or make a build side by side, and from what i can see it really shows. COD4 was built side by side with the 360 version so no porting, no bad version no shoddy excuses...

now COD4 could always be rubbish on the PS3, but from what ive seen and read it certainly looks like a killer title, as much as RFOM was when it initially was released.

just wish we could play against the 360!!!!

Hmm... After reading a few reviews praising the solo campaign I'm slightly more interested in this. The general impression seems to be that it's a wonderfully scripted collection of set pieces in a short campaign, with much more longevity at the higher difficulty levels. I found Rainbow Six: Vegas enjoyable enough in the single player (though a pain to complete at Realistic difficulty) to justify a purchase even without playing it online.

Is the splitscreen option part of the campaign? A brief scan through the pics and discussions didn't immediately answer that, and as I've mentioned in this very thread co-op multiplayer is a big draw for me.

The only minor criticism I've heard has come from comments like Gabe's of Penny Arcade:

Quote:
It's funny, in the end it turns out I'm not a big fan of COD 4. I tossed it in last night and played through the first handful of levels. It certainly looks great but I think Rainbow 6: Vegas has really spoiled me. The lack of a cover system in COD is really frustrating to me. It looks and feels like a tactical squad shooter. Only I don't have any ability to play tactically or control my squad. The enemies can blind fire from behind cover but apparently I can't? My teammates can shoot the hinges off a door and then kick it in but I can't so much as jiggle a doorknob? After R6 I never thought I'd have to toss a flash bang into a room by standing in the middle of the doorway again. Visually it's a real stunner but game play wise it feels dated to me.
But even that is purely a personal thing, based on previous expectations.
