You need to be able to join a game that your friends are in ala Warhawk.

Because sending out those invites are pointless if someone is in a good game or maybe Dillon and DK were just ignoring me last night!!

Hannible, I am not sure how the lobby system is on the PS3 but last night my clan readied up two teams of 7 and the hosts of each went private chat and launched into a mode that not many play and bang we were all in the same match after about 5 minutes. Quality indeed. Of course there is always the private match option but you dont get the challenges/XP for those...

Unless I'm being stupid but from what I could see is as soon as you log in your name is on the right in "your" party and you can invite your friends into that and then I can search for any game and what I get into whoever was in my party comes in.

But if one of my buddies is in a game I cant get to go in his game which I think is a bit silly, unless they invite me of course but if their in-game that is not possible.

EDIT: You seriously need to get this game Gabe.
Like I said before, I've never had as much online fun as this since SOCOM and SOCOM II.

As I said mate. You need to get 2 parties with all your mates set up and then get the 2 hosts to go into private chat and launch into a mode that is not heavily used. You should end up playing together after a few tries....

Apart from doing it that way you are ight it is a nightmare getting into games a couple of your mates are in especially if there is not a lot a room as they fill up damn quick...

I agree on the point about it being the best game for online since the heady Socom days....There are so many old clans resurfacing now. Great stuff.. Shame you guys dont have it on the 360 though

lol.. i didnt ignore you! haha.... if it was friday night, i didnt get in til half 12.. i was still REALLY hacked off with all the wankers that get on a PACKED train from Paddington, stinking of booze while eating a burger king in your face.. i was soo angry.

lol.. so i got home, had a beer and shot many many people.. in CoD4

if it wasnt then, i swear i havent seen any invites mate, last night i had the PS3 on Cod for hours, but i was watching Celeb Jungle, so you might of invited me then.. sorry.

also, you know you go in to multiplayer, then theres another multiplayer screen with single player and lan etc.. i do wonder if technically youre still showing as online even if youre in that particular menu.

i just played a match with some guy called ThePhantomLimb (lol.. what a name!) a request of friend from Warhawk.. played 18 match Domination. I REALLY hate capture the flag, but i love this game.. it was really cool.

anyway, i was pottering about looking an my classes of weps and an invite comes up.. its from him, i join and was easier than looking for my own match! haha..
so the system does work. my favourite type of lobby is like WarHawk or RFOM, but this one is ok... if you couldnt see matches to join, i think people wouldnt get so unhappy that it takes ages.

but its weird.. like EVERYONE is playing Cod4, its very cool.. I swtiched on my ps3 last night and theres 7 friends online all playing CoD

Edit: Gabe, its worth the trade!!! unless its RFOM, but i just traded in R6 for Assassins Creed for Friday, i dont need R6 now.. CoD4 has everything i want in a shooter (until Rainbow7 comes out).

I haven't been ignoring you hann, I try'd a couple of time but it kept messing up and then sometimes I was already in a party. the buddy system is a pain but unlike shitehawk its a bloody good game so all is forgiven
