i just got off the charlieoscardelta forum.. theres a few problems with CoD that people should be warned out!!!!

theres a problem with their servers, or at least the saving of ranks and levels. so not only will there be a patch out soon for this ACOG and Sniper thing, there will be some work being done on the servers by the IW team.

SO.. if you find that your ranks and levels are messed up over the next few days, dont worry. do what im going to do.. just play for fun, then when they fix the servers you can play to level up. but until they sort out the problems.. some people might get rather upset.

so dont worry, IW are on to it.


a bit like the Assassins creed patch which is out now btw...

lol... 360, tsk... well because they messed up the ps3 version online ranking etc.. IW have just given us a free double XP weekend, and i have just got to rank 48. only one more for the 50cal snp rifle..
i really love this game, its a shame you dont have a ps3.. any plans on getting one? it will be interesting in 6 months time if im still playing this, i hope so. I know that OB wont take my online time like Cod. but maybe Killzone or UT3 will.. i hope not, because i want to stay loyal to Cod, but seeing as Cod5 is going back to WW2, on one hand i want to keep playing Cod4 just because it could be the last modern one they do, but the other half of me thinks can i be bothered with a series that doersnt want to move forward.. i dont know.

still, playing most nights on Cod.. love it to death and is my no.1 game at the mo, shame you have it on 360 Hawkster.. still, i KNOW youre having as much fun as we are!!

It is a great game indeed Dillon. Online is by far the best I have experienced for an awful long time. You will enjoy the 50 cal mate it is a bit tricky unless you use the iron lungs perk. I am sorry to say though that I cannot see myself ever getting the PS3 as I do not see the need in the near future. Maybe one day when they are cheap as chips LOL

Are there many online on the PS3 on COD4. There are always loads on the 360. It is good to some of the old PS2 online clans resurfacing as awell..

Figured I'd mention this here, being the dedicated thread and all. I keep hearing disappointment that Infinity Ward aren't working on CoD5 and that it will be back in World War 2, but I can't help seeing it as a good thing. Each Call of Duty game essentially has a two year development cycle, allowing the innovation and freshness of Call of Duty 4 to come to pass without sacrificing the annual updates that publishers crave.

The alternatives would be Infinity Ward doing CoD every year and not having time to shake up the series so much, or a two year gap between CoD games. This way people can skip the Treyarch version if they want without it affecting the gamers who still want a WW2 version. Everybody wins, no?
