Default Now Accepting Volunteer Submissions For XN

Some have you have recently voiced your concern over the lack of content found at our Xbox Nerds site, and while I have explained the significant differences between PSXE and XN, I still understand the comments. A few people have offered to provide some content for XN, which I said I'd think about. I've asked Val what he thought, and he figured some extra content couldn't hurt, although of course this would be on a strictly volunteer basis.

Therefore, if you wish to help us out and give us some Xbox 360 reviews, please adhere to the following set of rules. Don't worry, they're simple.

1. At this time, I'm only looking at reviews. Previews can be tricky, and for now, it's not something I want those outside the site dealing with (no offense).

2. We haven't done a 360 review in a while, but check to make sure we don't already have a review for the game you intend to write about.

3. PLEASE examine the reviews we routinely post at PSXE to get a general idea of what we expect. We do have a certain standard of quality, and unfortunately, I don't have the time to significantly edit submissions. Your review should be up-to-publishing-par when you submit it.

4. I'm looking for high-profile 360 reviews; specifically exclusive ones like Halo 3, Bioshock, Project Gotham Racing 4, etc. Try to avoid games that also appear on the PS3, because we'll have that game covered at PSXE.

5. PLEASE submit only one review at a time. If I accept it and it gets posted, you can do more.

6. There is no compensation for these reviews, but you will get credit, of course.

7. You can either make your submissions via PM or e-mail- fathoms77@hotmail.com

We thank you for any help you want to provide, and while I think I've made it clear how vastly different PSXE and XN really are, once again, I do understand your comments. So here's your chance, guys!

You should have an email from me Ben. I've just discovered that there's a character limit of 5000 in PMs, so based upon the length of existing reviews it's probably best to email or you'll have to break them down into chunks.

Yeah, I think e-mail would be best.

By the way, that reminds me- everyone should be using our scoring system when assigning scores. I figure y'all might figure on using it (as Benny here did) anyway, but I just wanted to clarify.

Okay, we have our first volunteer review up, and I think it's a great one. Thanks to The Benny for providing us with a much-needed high-profile review.

So if anybody else plans to do a review for XN, bear in mind that Bioshock is done. From here on out and until further notice, the preceding rules apply, so feel free to submit whenever you like.

Hmm... Not long after saying "if you are killed you simply respawn at the nearest Vita Chamber ... so if played as a straight shooter it becomes fairly easy" and "Even taking into account the multiple endings it is possible to see and do everything in one play through the game ... including earning every achievement", Bioshock has got itself an update adding a new, secret 100G achievement. Apparently it's unlocked by completing the game at the hard difficulty without using a Vita Chamber (so without dying), which is quite the challenge.

If this marks the start of additional content for the game then it would essentially tackle Bioshock's only major weak point, the lack of tangible replay value.
