Note: I played this on my PC, not a console..

Just finished the recently released demo of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and I have to say, it really plays (and looks) quite well.

I know someone had a thread about the game a while back, but I just wanted to give some info about the demo.

The demo is only one playable level "The Bog Rescue", but this single level really gets you going and wanting more.

The gameplay is pretty smooth, and if you've ever played an FPS, you should be okay with this on a normal difficulty setting.

We know the game is the first in the Call of Duty series to not take place in WWII, but rather in a [somewhat] near future (hence the name "modern warfare"). Thing is, don't go into this expecting a GRAW-like experience. IMO, GRAW has a more developed interface and comrade AI. But Modern Warfare really delivers a great experience, I really enjoyed this demo, and odds are [maybe after upgrading my computers RAM ._.] I will be buying this game.

Only managed to snag one screen, but if you want more pics I could probably dig up the previously mentioned thread...



Anyone else take a whack at this yet? What did you guys think??

I have played the multiplayer beta on the 360 and it was very good indeed. Will definately be getting this come November 9th

I now own this on the PS3. Very awesome. Only put a little bit of time in, having a 1 year old and all. Seems like a very cool FPS. So far it has been very straight forward run and gun, take cover, run for cover, snipe, etc. I hope some levels are a little slower paced though.

erm.. the slowest level is the one straight after 'Shock and Awe'... you will see what i mean, lol...

I've been messing with the online multiplayer. Very fun game if ya ask me. I feel like such a no0b though. My death/kill ratio is usually 5 deaths to 1 kill.

i just leveled up to 37. unlocked the G36c.. NOW the fun begins!!


mind you, when you first start off, you rank up like no bodies business... but get harder and harder as time goes by. thats when i look at DK's levels and thats when i get really depressed, lol..

im rubbish compared, yet i do ok in matches.. but compared to everyone i know online, im terrible.

tho saying that i hardly ever get in to matches when invited.. mainly because im halfway through one already, so by the time i see the invite the game is already underway.
but still when im in groundwar and theres 18 players needed, im always sending out invitations to join, its a good laugh when youre on the same teams as people you know..

But i always feel like i let people down. Hannible and DK play Socom, so use to running around in a squad. I tend to stick with the pack for a bit, then bugger off and get myself killed somewhere..

if theres anything this game needs to sort out, thats the lobby... something like RFOM would be brilliant.

the G36c is nice, but personally i stick with with the M4 with the Red Dot sight and the extra damage perk and bandolier, i just seem to do a lot better with that combo than anything else i've tried so far. i'm around 24 hours into online play and at level 41, its so damn addicting which sucks because finals week is around the corner

Dillon, look at my rank and feel much better about yourself. I need to upgrade my weapons. At the moment I just try to pick up an opponents gun as quickly as I can.
