ok, its not like its Killzone or tekken.. but for some strange reason because of Leipzig we have loads of vids.. three new ones of Warhawk (gotta buy that!) some other stuff like trailers etc (some are quite interesting)..

but the biggest thing is Folksoul (Folklore) playable demo.. i played this from the Jp store, and while was cool... it was all in Japanese, so didnt understand it that much.

looks like we Brits have a chance to see what its like.. in English, lol.

well i played the demo... and for those who have played the Japanese version will remember a bit of 'on foot' stuff where you go in to a town, looked really interesting. the demo was huge, because after you did all that looking about and asking questions.. you then got to go and use the powers...

in this version you skip that whole town bit! the demo starts off with the girl and guy straight in to the battlefield.. im a lil peeved off about it to be honest. i guess if i hadnt of downloaded the Japanese version i wouldnt of known any better.. but why did they have to cut to the chase on this one!!?!

i was looking forward to seeing what the folk were saying to me in the pub, not to mention all the other weird and wonderful conversations i was having in the Jp version...

ahh well, never mind.

still a nice game, shame they didnt give us the same demo.

Well that just sucks Monkey nuts. They must have thought it too time consuming to translate all the dialogue for the sake of a demo. I agree it is a shame.

yeh, i would like to hear what you guys think.. and even if AK has anything to say about it.

the 'feeling' you get from the Jp version is very very different from the feeling i got when i first played this EU demo.

its almost like 'this is how the Japanese think we want our first Folklore exp to be'.. you know, straight in for the kill, best not show them too much asking questions and RPG eliments.. best give them a stick and throw zombies at them (not that theres any sticks or zombies in the demo.. but hopefully you see my point).

so if you and AK have played the Jp version, it will be interesting what you both think of the 'action' demo they have given us..

as ive said, im a lil let down by this, because i can handle walking about and playing an RPG at its best eliment.


and Folklore... lol.. I liked Folksoul better

Well, that's the thing. Arnold already did a hands-on with the Japanese preview. Only if this one in the U.S. is significantly different will I do another one.

most certainly due for a return visit, it will be interesting what you think!!

would warrent another preview if you ask me, because to get to this point in the Jp demo where the EU verion gets started.. you would have to be playing for a while though a lot of Japanese txt. and even then, i cant be 100% sure that our demo is even part of the Jp one, could be totally unique.

still, i do think it could do with another take on this, its a very different demo to the original.
