A cutting from a teletext mag I read:

R* has admitted in a new interview that it's having trouble squeezing everything it wants to in GTAIV into the 360 version. apparently the PS3 is fine thanks to Blu-Ray and the guaranteed HDD.

I did say Blu-Ray Is necessary and that this sort of thing would happen to the 360.

Teletext is a text based information service through the TV. It's how we get subtitles on our TV shows. They have their own dedicated gaming pages which are accessable by everyone in the country. Well, those with TV's anyway. They are typically Sony haters so I'm surprised they published that quote. Maybe they are finally getting their collective heads out of their asses.

They didn't say it was necessary. They said that the fact that there's a 360 model without a hard-drive, coupled with DVD, is causing problems (which, 360's storage double standards is its biggest problem).

Here's the exact quote to put it all in context:

So where does Howser say that blu-ray is necessary? And furthermore, how does it imply that it is? The game is coming out on 360 for christ's sake. If it was actually necessary for it, it probably wouldn't.

my point is its getting that way, and sooner than I thought. do you think the next GTA will be on 360 cos its only goin to get bigger(disc space not map)
the 360 is supposed to compete with PS3 for something like the next 6 years

I'm sure it will if it sells well.

Sure it'll become more and more of a problem, especially towards the end part of the generation, but that's what new generations are for.

My guess is that 95% of the Xbox 360 market has a HD in there. Even if you bought the core system, you would have got the 20gb hd sooner or later. With the 120gb out, the people who waited cause the 20gb wasn't enough space would get it.

With fanboys of the GTA series, I'm postive they are hardcore gamers = they have an HD. If the 5% of the possible non HD owners, shame on you lol.

They fit Oblivion on the 360, I see absolutely no reason why they can't fit GTA on there. Even if disc space becomes a serious issue, it's not really a problem, and never has been.

You know what'd be hilarious? After R* releases GTAIV on both consoles, Sony ends up taking the series as an exclusive and leaving the Xbox camp without a followup. Hahaha, that'd be pretty f*cked up if it happens.
