I'm sure you've all already read the main story on the www.xboxnerds.com main page about the Black 360 which according to msn is apparently called 360 Elite (xbnerds have it tagged as Zephir). I've also heard that you can replace your standard pitiful HD with the to be released 120gb one. I just hope they come up with a method of transferring game saves without having to pay £30 for an additional device. Could the Sony follow suit with the PS3 when the new colours are released?

I've just spotted on the xboxnerds.com main page, there is a mini video playing for Motorstorm.tv . Was it intentional to have a PS3 advert playing on the sister site?

Probably not, they want keep the cost down, besides if us PS3 owners want more space we can just buy an external HDD or slot one in to the console.

Man, the Xbox 360 is insanely expensive when you add up everything the PS3 gives you and everything you have to buy for the X360 to rival the PS3. The PS3 is a steal at $600.

A quick comparison shows:

X360 Elite: $480
Xbox Live Gold x 5 years: $270
Wireless Adapter: $100
HD-DVD: $200

PS3 60GB: $600
*USB Headset: $5
or
*Bluetooth Headset: $25
*HDMI Cable: $8
or

Add 'em up, the price differences are staggering.

Also, I must say that anyone paying full price for XboxLive gold is a fool. The subscriptions go on sale periodically. I've paid $30 canadian for 2 years of Xbox Live gold, which is a fair price regardless of how you look at it.

You must hook me up with your sources lol. For the "Once you go Black, you never go back" that won't happen to me until either my 360 now goes toast (Have a 4 year walk-in exchange) or I buy a HDTV and really need the HDMI imput. The 120gb drive is a no brainer, only thing is I'm postive I'll have to re-install FFXI again lol.

I still need a 2nd controller, and a Black one would be sweet. I'm still holding back on going HD-DVD at the moment since my DVD collection is closing in on 300 movies. The whole BLU vs HD-DVD and MS thoughts about creating a external BLU for the 360 if that format wins the war, I'll hold on to my cash.

Y'know what makes me laugh, these idiots(mainly on gamespot)keep saying "sony have forced blu ray movie players into peoples homes, with my 360 HD DVD is an option"
do they not get it, the blu ray drive would be there regardless of movies cos the games need it, so they just chucked a bit of software in to play movies and why not if the hardware and the HDMI port is there, we'd be saying its a waste if they didn't.
