I’ve been looking at some old old games recently, and some not so old.. And just wondering what games we could have as 21st century remakes?
Could a Manic Miner in a GTA world style of game work? why not make a FPS of the classic story driven text adventure the Hobbit or Lord of the rings? Enough of these third person adventures, I WANT TO BE GANDALF.. has that ever ripped through your mind? No.. just me then ![]() But I’ve been thinking about this, its like Abe’s Odyssey.. ok, we all agree on the shambles that was the Xbox version of Oddworlds third instalment, and I promise not to drag up the whole Lord Lanning thing again! All I want is Abe.. I want him back! But I would be very very happy if he just started all over again and made Odyssey and Exoddus in a PS3/360 make over? So anything is up for grabs, I mentioned a while ago that ‘Imagine’ games have stopped everyone from downloading their software, this has been the way for some time now.. why? Are they going to remake JatPac or Pssssst on the next gen consoles.. I know they would certainly work very very well on the Wii. But what of the big ones like Elite?.. …Head over heels or Inside Outing would be very very cool too…they have been remade on the PC, some people have spent the time updating these classics, it would be nice if we had them a bit closer to home.. a bit closer to the telly, like underneath it ![]() Anyone remember G-Police on the PS1, now that could really do with a make over. At the time it was a bit over adventurous for its own good, imagine it on the PS3?! Anyway, what games would you bring back if you could?

Future Cop has been somthing of a quest for Gabe, i think it had an isometric view point and you controled an ED 209 type thing, Gabe can tell you more

Actually id just enjoy game creators to return to the fun, innovative, skillful, awww enticing games that we enjoyed in the 90's. I got my first system in 90 with the NES and was held captive for hrs (days sometimes). Its interesting to note how with the advent of graphical enhancements and other great features to games that many of the elements that went into creating fun games seem to have kinda gone by the wayside. Either this is the case or gaming in general just isnt that much fun anymore. But i still hold on to all my old game systems, and i dont think thats a coincidence. I think its due in part to the homage i pay and hope to replay, again, to those great systems of the 90's.......

I've been longing for a game that does justice to the Tie Fighter games. There hasn't been anything quite like it since.

Wings of the Sky
Though I think we've already got that in one incarnation or another.DK is right about Futurecop, but it also transformed into a car type vehicle. I loved that demo I had. I want more open ended games. In Wings of the Sky, you had a basic mission outline but if you landed at an airstrip you could end the mission OR refuel and reload then take off again to kill more Germans. You could go on for hours and hours repeating this, all within the same level.

![]() NES title, rpg/shooter/puzzle/mech/almost every of type of gaming things you can shake a contoller at. This game was way before it's time back in the day, and it shares a similar character to another game ![]() I promised myself if any console re-did this game, or wii released it on the VC I would buy it for that. This game needs a remake, even if they only released it as is on live arcade. Anybody who played this game and beat it (I just remember that it took my a super long time) that it's worth it. P.S Right click properties on the pic for the website, and cough cough rom cough cough of it. It maybe be super old, but I dare you to play it. Classic, way b4 it's time.
