how many playstation 3 owners have a Full 1080 p HD tv's???? ur not gona get the best from ps3 unless ur have a TV that at least supports 1080 i ...some of you might say Oh its not much the xbox 360 is 399 with a 20 Gb drive and doesnt have a wireless-g connection and doesnt play Hd dvd's....u gota pay 200 more for the exteranl HD player for the 360..in this case it makes the Playstation 3 worth it....most Gamers say its a Video Game machine not intended for a blu-ray player..cause having a all in One can pre much ruin it in the coming yrs i had that problem after 2 yrs of having the original box..but with the 360 that issue was solved...wouldnt be wise if Sony made an external blu ray player for its ps3 units..that way they knock couple of hundred bucks from its current $599 to $399 this way they can knock the competetion out...i think Sony is not gona make any price changes soon unlesss Microsoft pulls somethin off at the Last Minute ..i think thats what Sony is waiting for Microsoft to drop thier prices....look Blu-rays and HD dvd's the price of this players is gona drop eventually just like the DvD's did back in 97 when dvd players came out and selling for 700 bucks..and 3 yrs later went down to 299 then following yrs went down to 199 then to the 179,129, and now down to 39.99 for a brand nam my prediction is that blu ray players are gona cost probably 100 bucks within 3 yrs cause only 1% out of the 250 million people will buy a blu-player for 1000 bucks now....ALL THIS GAME MACHINES ARE WAY TO OVER-RATED AND OVERPRICED BLU RAY DISCS DONT DELIVER BETTER GRAPHICS U DUMMYS JUST HOLDS 50GB OF STORAGE BLU-RAY FEATURES CAN BE PUT ON STANDARD DVD'S IF THEY WANTED TO...ITS THE GRAPHIC PROCESSORS AKA VIDEO CARDS THAT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE... THAT CELL PROCESSOR IS NOTHING BUT A HOAX TO FULL THE MARKET..HOW DOES A CENTRAL CPU deliver realistic graphics ??? does not make sense RSX cards are nothin new theyve been around for years...the 360 delivers realistic graphics without an Fancy dancy cpu's......thier using rsx's in blu ray and hd players..for some reason blu-ray looks better because of its blue laser compare to Hd's red laser.....SONY KNOWS THAT THEY CANT FOOL THIER OWN NATIVE JAPAN BUT THEY KNOW THEY CAN FOOL US AMERICANS IN EVERY WAY AND WE WILL BELIEVE IT...WITHOUT THE UNITED STATES THIS JAPANESE COMPANYS WONT HAVE A MARKET

A tiny amount of that makes sense. The rest is just trolling me thinks.

1) I still don't get why people assume the PS3 is only for HD TV owners. I have 3 tv's, and none of them are fantastic but I still want a PS3. I might not get the best picture available but games like resistance and motorstorm will still look AND MORE IMPORTANTLY PLAY brilliantly.

2) What happened to paragraphs dude? I mean, c'mon.

3)Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the PS3 games blu-ray? If you had a separate blu-ray player, then you'd have no real machine in the firstplace.

4)Yes, Blu-Ray players will drop in price over the next 3 years. Will they play PS3 games? No. That is why we want a PS3; The movie functionality is secondary.

5)Blu-Ray discs deliver a better picture because of the amount of info they can hold. The media doesn't have to be so compressed you see? I'm sure there are others here who can explain it a whole lot better than me.
