This is sort of tiding me over. A 120GB X360 sure sounds nice. Hopefully MS releases this sometime soon and I can pick up an older 360 cheaper.

so.. cant you change the 360's HDD? in light of a 60gig PS3, im not surprised MS are doing that then!

and then the PS3 will bring a bigger one out and then ..where will it stop eh! lol...

thing is though, consoles evolve, and its not until a good couple of year in to its life when the creators probably think "damn.. actually, THIS is what we should of done"... and two more years down the line they make it.


i dont think we wil ever have 'one' console..i just cant see MS, Ninty or Sony ever agreeing on that one.

although, I can see the other big houses like Sega, Namco etc.. joining either Nintendo or Sony full time in years to come.

No you can't put your own HDD in the 360. I'm thinking it's probably because of those license fees associated with backwards compatibility (given that the hard-drive is required to achieve it). This would certainly explain why they're so ridiculously overpriced.

I would have been peeved had a superchargeed 360 been set for a release. Although the bigger HD would have been nice I'm not too fussed.

I still have quite a few gigs on my hard drive... I don't think I'll be able to fill half of a 120 gig.

I'm with Arnold... new 360 comes out, old 360's price goes down, and I get the cheaper option.

It's 20 gigs, although there's only about 12 available for user data.

amazing that with such a media hungry machine like the 360, that anyone would think that 20ggs would be enough, let alone 12!!!

mind you, 60 isnt a lot now is it! at least we can expand when Sony feels fit to release a bigger HDD. but I did read that you could attatch an external HDD to the PS3, but i dont know if i believe that.. is that true?


anyhow, i can see in five years time there being 300+gig HDD's out for both the PS3 and the 360 (or Xbox360.2)
