20G PS3 WIFI Options

CAN A 20g PS3 OWNER USE A LINKSIS WIRELESS-G USB NETWORK ADAPTER IN ONE OF THE 4 USB PORTS ON THE FRONT OF THE 20g UNIT?? SHOULD BE ABLE TO GO INTO THE INTERNET OPTIONS MENU AND MANUALLY SETUP THE DEVICE...IE IP ADDRESS ETC. I HAVE A WIFI NETWORK SETUP AT HOME.I WAS NOT LUCKY ENOUGH TO THE 60g MODEL WITH THE INTERNAL WIFI CARD. I REALLY WANT TO ELIMINATE THE NEED FOR PULLING A LAN HARDLINE TO THE UNIT. WOULD MANY 20G MODEL USERS LIVES MUCH SIMPLIER.

IN THEORY THIS SHOULD BE DOA0BLE THIS IS WHAT THIS DEVICE DOES FOR LAPTOP USERS W/O AN INTERNAL WIRELESS CARD.
NOT A TECHIE BY FAR SO ANY HELP OR SUGGESTION WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I don't have a PS3, but it depends. You might be able to do so or might not. Though it works for laptops you have to remembers that drivers need to be installed for it to be recognized. So long as the PS3 can recognize the device properly and you are able to install it via the Network Installation that the PS3 has, it shouldn't be a problem to use it.

I believe the PS3 is running Linux, i could be wrong. Best thing to do is search Google.

From the search i've done, currently there is no info of any USB WiFi adpaters working on the 20gb PS3. Again, you can try it.

yeh i tgink u could wire the usb with lan but i think its to complicated the 20 gb is really a pain in the neck, com on man wait for the 60 gb i am master in the ps3 and its options......BACK TO MY SECRET LABOROTORY HEHEHEH..

Boy am I tired.........on the first read I got secret laboramie.
Then I set my glass of Jack Dañiels down and re-read it and got ..........secret labotomy.

Then I went and got my reading glasses and decripted it to get secret laboratory.........................geez.
