so.... can you use a PS2 Duel shock pad with PS2 games? unlike the Wii where you must use the wiimote with its games, and change over if you play GC games?

Well, there are people who used a PS2 to USB converter, who were able to get a PS2 controller working on PS3; however, both the d-pad and analog stick could not be enabled at the same time. The SIXAXIS works great for PS2 games IMO, although it lacks rumble oh course.

I'm enjoying my PS3 a lot (20GB version, pics are in my Flickr). So far, I've downloaded:
Blast Factor (Full version)
Lemmings (Full version)
GripShift (demo), although I plan to buy the full version.
Cash Guns Chaos (demo)
Formula One CE (demo)
Genji Days of Blade (demo)
Resistance: Fall of the Man (demo)

MotorStorm (demo)
NBA 07 (demo)

I downloaded Rally Cross (PS1), to play on PS3.

I only have Ridge Racer 7, since I've only had my PS3 for over two weeks. I plan to get Resistance, Genji 2, Untold Legends Dark Kingdom, NFS Carbon, and an NBA game. Many games I want coming out in 2007.

I've been testing out all my PS1/PS2 games (still not finished with PS2 games). Most PS1 games don't have the issues Sony said they did, which is good. There are a few scaling issues on a few PS2 games, but most all my PS2 games play just fine on PS3. I really don't want to bother playing many of those games on PS1/PS2 anymore, since playing them on PS3 is so much easier (being able to switch memory cards easier, not having to buy more memory cards, wireless controller, etc.).

I absolutely love many of the PS3 media capabilities and I've put most of them to use so far. I've only seen one blu-ray movie, which is Talladega Nights, since it came with my PS3. I like the online, although I admit it isn't perfect (I'm no online gamer anyway, so I'm just happy to have a buddy list).

so.. I thought I would DRAG this topic out and ask again if any of you guys know yet if you can play Japan yet on some of the games online?

it was a bit early in to playing the ps3 when i asked last time.


I just want to know if we will be able to play you lot?




also anyone got any old ps1 games for the PSP via the PS3 yet? if so... how easy and what sort of cost are we looking at?

because on the PS2/PSP, the Americans cant play the Japanese or Europeans online. We cant play the Japanese or the Americans and the Japanese cant play the British or the Americans.

in order that I may rest in piece and at some point bait Ryan by saying something like "im going to kick your hairy behind on MGSO or Killzone2".. i would like to know if it is indeed possible to play accross the regions world wide on the PS3.

like in March when we Blighty folk get our PS3's (hopefully I will be one of them) and Resistance fall of man is being played, i would like to be able to play Ben, Mista, BW, Sunny or someone here who has it.

i played resistance its a cool action game anyone played here on a ps3 nfs carbon.its so damn cool the graphics

yeh. just preordered my PS3!! getting Fall of man on launch day and i'll see what else is on the shelves come the 23rd...

cant wait!!


and on top of all that, all my Blue disks will flipping Play! hurrah! i will be able to play Psyvariar again!

ok.. so how 'region free' is the PS3?


some are saying it plays JP PS3 games but not Blu-Ray, some are saying it plays Jp PS2/1 games...

has anyone tried this?


also.. have i asked that question before.. i feel a bit of Deja here...
