Dill where did you pre-order your PS3 from?

I went to my local Choices again and they said I'd be number 26 on the list but there 1st shipment of PS3's is only going to be 5 and they dont even know 100% if their getting those on launch day!! So I thought no way

Theres another small independant games shop and I'm number 5 on the list but he's not taking deposits until he knows exactly how many he is getting but it doesnt look like I'll be playing one come March 23rd

I've held off pre-ordering online from the likes of Play, Game, HMV etc... because I want to know 100% if i'd get it launch day.

got mine from GAME, pretty much 100% guaranteed launch day purchase, they will even keep it uyp to three days for me if i decide not to turn up on the 23rd of march

DK got his from PLAY and Amazon are preordering from 15th of Feb... so if you think you have missed out but still want one, go with Amazon, but be quick!!


EDIT:

just an update of my question that everyone is ignoring, lol.... seems that the ps3 is region free if the games are on Blu-Ray... does anyone know? anyone on the PSXE team know anyone with a JP PS3 that they could borrow a game from and try it out?

if this is true, then it rules out JP PS1/2 games, which is a crying shame, but it seems that Blu-Ray doesnt have region coding, thats why it works. or its the other way round? lol... anyone..?

Cool, I just persumed Amazon would of already done theres.
Will go for them on the 15th!!

I've also posted this in the PS3 Network Handles thread but more people will probably look here.
I was just on the European PS3 site and I cant find anywhere where to go to register an online network ID.
Can anyone help me?

Going back on the pre-order topic, I just rang my local Woolies and they said that their taking full payments of £469 (I think) and you get 1 game (Choice of F1, MotorStorm or Resistance) with that bundle.

I asked them does it mean guaranteed one launch day and she said the system is allowing them to do more orders so she would 'think' that means I would get one March 23rd.... Hmmmm too good to be true?

what do you think you'll get in the way of games? im getting resistance for sure, I know DK is too.. but DK is going with Play and is getting three games with it.. i think. need to ask him which ones.

check that Woolies out though, i would trust them if they can guarantee it, and if they are taking full payment.. makes me think that they can certainly get you one for the 23rd.

If I get a PS3 (I've got the money to get one, just whether or not I can secure one) I'll 100% be getting Resistance. Maybe look into Rainbow Six, don't know if that is a launch title though?

I'll try and finish work a bit early today and go to Woolies to see if its true.

This online handle thing is a bit hard to come by aint it! I thought it would just be there on the main PS3 homepage.

have you been to the main ps3 site? im sure i would of gone there to register my interest at first, so im sure youre in the right ball park, so's to speak.

I dont think R6 is a launch title, i dont think its going to be far behind though.. to be honest, its probably wise that its not. theres 30 games out already on launch day, R6 will just be swallowed up and left to rot, best they leave it a couple of weeks then release it.



I would like R6 too.... looks really really good.

its out on the 360 isnt it? i think (and this is part realist and part fanboyist) that it will possible look and play better on the PS3, but we'll see eh! im just thinking about peaking round corners using the SixAxis.. lol,
