Well, it was March 3rd, 2000. The PS2 had launched in Japan and I, with the help of my older brother, was able to receive my PS2 on March 5th, 2000 straight from Japan. Coupled with the PS2 was Street Fighter EX3 and Ridge Racer V. I remember coming home from school and as soon as I entered the living room, a blue box caught my attention. I quickly turn my head to the left...and...well...I literally flipped out. I was jumping up and down, screaming, hugging the PS2...yeah, I went pyscho bitch.

As for the US launch, on October 26th, at around 6AM, my cousin and I went out to our mall and decided to check out the line of PS2 campers. To our surprise, the lines were incredibly long. CompUSA was packed. Sears was packed. Circuit City...forget about it. The Wiz...had their shipment delayed. Meh, not like either of us cared. Our PS2 had already been paid for :P We were merely looking to making a quick buck on eBay. As we head back to our house, I see the FedEx guy take off. I ran towards my house, opened the fenced door and that's when I flipped out...again...

Japanese Launch : I don't remember.

US Launch : I had the money at launch, but I couldn't find one, and the games were more interesting on the DC. So I got the DC instead. Regretted the decision short term, but not after a month (when I found Soul Calibur) - or later for that matter (for the cheap goody gaming).

First Price Drop. I was at work, I got a psxe newsletter stating that the ps2 would drop prices May 24th 2002. That Friday, my first payday, I was at the store, picking it up along with FFX and VF4.

got mine in Oct 2001 at EB - i was SUPER excited. my first game was Heroes of Might & Magic ('cause i love the pc vers of HoM&M) but i traded it for Summoner later... well, that's how my adv with ps2 started.

i got screwed out of a pre-order so i had to wait about 2 weeks after release. my older bros girlfriend worked at kaybee so i told her to call me as soon as they got some PS2's in. she called, i went out there and got it along with Tekken Tag, Madden, and Dynasty Warriors. was giddy like a 12 year old school girl.

I got mine Christmas 2001. I got the system along with SSX Tricky, GTA III, and MGS 2. It was great.

I got mine at the end November 2000.Iwasn't able to find one and I was getting really upset.Then one day I got this email from Playstation Underground saying that playstation.com was going to be selling a limited amount.That was the only thing the Playstation Underground ever helped me with.

August of 2001, George W's check finally came in the mail, and it got me a used PS2 and Summoner. Summoner had me thinking that I had just wasted $295. Of course, by the time I finished it, Soul Reaver 2 was out, then came Devil May Cry, and, of course, MGS2.

when i got my GC it was right before xmas. i remember stading outside Circuit City waiting for them to open the doors. i was waiting around with about 15 old ladys buying console for their kids/grand kids.

I had to fight a Raging mob to get mine at Wal Mart, i got mine the night of the launch, i got one of the only 3 that wal mart had there. I regret getting it the way i did, but when you want something, you'll go to any lenghts to get it.

(just so you know, my cousin works at wal mart, i took his WM id and told a teenager i knew, that i would go in the back and get him a different PS2 because the ones on the shelf were damaged.)
