Default Portable Ops impressions

I started playing portable ops saturday night. I'm not that far into it but I have th basics. when I first started playing I thought "cool, it feels just like a regular MGS." Then: " okay they messed around the controls a little". After that: "I'm not sure I really like this game..." After getting used to it: " I love this game!!
it is pretty diferent than your standard MGS, for instance, you heve to press triangle to put your back to the wall. hold L in order to shoot, etc...
All minor changes really. there are some camera problems but I'm fine with it. The game is perfectly suited for portable use because its done in missions ala DMC so you can save and stop. so far the missions I played are on the short side and I expect it to stay like that so you can stop and save when you want.
Managing your recruits are obviously the newest thing in the game and its very interesting. You can go out with a squad of up to four soldiers, and swap who you control on the fly. It seems that the most important aspect of the game is recruiting and building a strong army to gather intel, create weapons, and treat wounded soldiers.
The comic book cutscenes are very well done and fully voiced over ( the codec has no voice over) and the sttory is, well, Metal Gear. So overall I think its an excellent game, although it is quite different than your regular MGS. And now back to the game...
