yep gabe is right...its going to be for them like atari2600 to us...........gabe we should keep in touch.......maybe our kids are going to have ps4 or ps5,psp2,psp3......every 2-5 years sony make a new console

no man......impossible they need to make new console..i heard there going to make xbox720 and ps3 special edition like the ps2 had 6 editions fat black,fat white,fat silver,fat pink,and then the slim black ,and white ,and silver,and pink,and now the psp pink,black,blue,silver,white..and i am sure ps3 is going to do the same

no, I think im right. I think Sony said that the reason why the PS3 is so expensive is because it won’t last your normal console life, in fact it will out live the normal life expectancy for a console.

The cell processor is so powerful that the PS3 will be able to upgrade its firmware, so the need for a brand new console doesn’t need to happen.

if you read back in an interview on the main page here of PSXE, one chap said that even at the end of the PS3's life, the PS3 will not be running games at its full capacity, scary yes.. but think of what MGS could be like in five years time.. or seven!!.

originally Sony said that the PS3 will last 10 years, I can imagine if you asked Sony that again, they will probably say less, but the technology there can last that long.

i'm kinda likeing the ps3 route, even tho i don't own one either.

on the soul factor that besides nes, ps2 has consumed more of my life
than any other system... and i think it could only get better.

Although I haven't bought a PS2 game for some time, there are still quite a few decent ones being released aren't there? How long has it been since the PS2 launch?

theres some real gems now its old... God of War, Black, Shaddow of the Colossus, Ico, FFX, FFX-2, MGS2/3... just so many you can pick up for buttons.

So it was only the release of the 360 that prompted a requirement for Sony to release the PS3 when they did. Otherwise they could have waited another year or so.
