I really doubt its Big Boss but maybe its a new clone of him not part of the original project. In the old poster fo MGS4 it showed and old man whose probably Big Boss. So let's say they somehow kept him alive and were able to make another clone. Then it could also be BB who kills himself to make sure he doesn't get cloned again "some blood lines must come to an end" the Snakes can't reproduce so it automatically ends

I think we're all arrogant if we can predict what Kojima is going to do. I think my hypothesis is plausible, but I also recognize it could be WAY off. Kojima is easily the best developer out there at keeping secrets, and misleading.

Alls I knows is we're in for a ride with Guns of the Patriots. The last chapter for Solid Snake? YOU KNOW THIS SHIT IS GOING TO RULE!

oh I'm not saying that this is a prediction. What kojima has in store is probably alot crazier. I'm just throwing out a possible theory in a very humble way .
The Boss was a great character, and I loved the fight, but I was a little disapointed with the "afterfight cutscene". I wanted to see snake finally best the Boss with cqc. But alas, it was not meant to be

I think Jack besting the Boss in actual CQC would cross the line into Star Wars realms of cheese. I prefer the CQC scene between Jack and Ocelot, as not only does it stay better with the overall theme of the game, it also sets up the future rivalry between the two.
