There were a few releases exclusive to the game cube that interested me; Metal Gear Solid:Twin Snakes, Resident Evil (Remake), and Resident Evil 0. Is there any plans to release these to the PS3 or do I have to purchase a GC to play them?

It's not very likely that they will end up on PS3 especially if they are strictly exclusive to Nintendo, your best bet would be to get a GC or Wii.

But Resident Evil 4 started out on the GC then eventually made it to PS2. How is this different?

That was only exclusive for a year, the others never crossed over.

If your looking at which next-gen console to buy, Wii would be your best bet as backwards compatibility on Wii would let you play all three, in theory.

Well, for starters, there's a big difference between porting a game to a system of relatively similar power and porting a game from the GC to a system that's about ten times more powerful. Essentially, it would require the game to be almost completely rebuilt from the ground up.

As for exclusivity, I'm not specifically aware of any of those being exclusive in the contractural sense, as in they could (so far as I know) theoretically be ported to another system.

Practically speaking, though, as Darth pointed out, they're not coming to the PS3.

That's only if they want to improve the graphics. If they want to keep it the same as it was for GC then porting it shouldn't be a problem.

I say nay, they wouldn't spend that kind of money, not even for DL off the Network. You might as well buy a GC, they're pretty cheap now, right? Used console and games can get pretty low.

You might want to pick your next gen console based on it's future game's and get your self a CG to ensure you can play the three games your talking about, as your probably well aware GC is dead cheap these days. It's your call obviously, it's just that where I live GC and it's games have sod all shelf space in stores and with the release of the Wii Imminent or already out(US/JPN) It might not be too long before it disappears, so if it was me I'd snap up a cheap GC and those three games while I could

The only other thought I have is that maybe the likes of Konami and Capcom will take advantage of the Playstation Network download service to bring some old and previously unreleased titles to the platform, I wouldn't hold your breath though.
