I played some last night, and I'm going to go ahead and declare that Wii Sports is mankind's greatest achievement. I wasted two hours battling with a bunch of friends last night when I should have been studying for a test I had this morning. I think I may have failed the test, but it was totally worth it. Holy shit is it fun. No serious injuries yet, but we weren't drunk last night either. The way we play, it's definitely coming. The closest anyone came was when one of my buddies came close to punching me after I played the last hole of golf left handed to rub it in because I was winning by so much. He got back at me by kicking my ass in bowling, which I'm terrible at. All and all, I'd say that boxing is the only part of the game that isn't completely awesome, and I think it'll be okay once I get used to it. I'm seriously thinking about buying a Wii this weekened.

This console is quite possibly teh greatest achievement. Not because of the reasons stated by Cowboy, here. But because my anti-games parents played it and liked it.

Biggest WTF of the year for me.

Also Zelda is reallllllly good.

Question about Zelda. Can it be played by not using the motion sensors ie as a traditional game.

Yes, if you buy the GC version in a month, which is something that every gamer that owns a GC should do.

ah, ok. In that case I probably won't ever buy a Wii. I may however buy a GC at some point. I was hoping all the Wii games could be played via the ordinary method.

lol.. they are still making GC games? cool! I hate to sound like a Div, but i honestly just thought that nothing ever came out for the GC anymore.

all the GAME shops in Reading where i live dont even really have a GC section anymore.

its all just X360, PS2, PSP and NDS... oh and that dead one.. erm.. um, ahh, thats it.. the PC

I think you should at least give it a try sometime. I've never played the Zelda game for it, and I'm still completely in love with the Wii right now.

I truly can see the appeal for some but I just won't find a game fun if I feel embarassed playing it, whatever the game is. If I knew someone with one then I guess I should bite my lip and test it but I do really think I'd be too uncomfortable to enjoy it. I expect there will be some good games out for it so if they made it so you could use a traditional controller or the Wii motion then it would really boost sales amongst more conservative people.

I've seen a Zelda advert btw and it does look interesting.
