PSP 3.00 firmware update JP
now available
Yep, for all you lucky Japanese psp owners, roll up and get your firmware update now!
The American 3.00 should be out soon. No news on the EU version. Probably wont be out till March L Anyway, here is a direct link to the pspupdates.com site where you can get the JP version. http://dl.qj.net/PSP-3.00-Firmware-PSP/pg/12/fid/11369/catid/163 or you can go to the official site and get it there via www.yourpsp.com also there is an online manual for the update.. go here to view J http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/psp/current/

Dillon, do you have a US PSP or a UK one? I have the US so hopefully get the upgrade soon, I wonder if there will be anything interesting this time

i have a Japanese one
check the manual out.. link above. that will take you through the whole update. looks like you can buy PS1 games from the Playstation store  but until the USA one comes out, im not sure i can yet.. but will play around with it over the next few days and try to see what i can do.

im not sure you do!!!
need to read up more about it, but I think if you connect to the store via your pc/psp (again im not sure) i think you can pay and download it from there. probably a lot easier via the PS3, but again.. I have a wee feeling that you can do this without a ps3. i think it would be foolish of Sony to ONLY make this available to PS3 owners.. if it was a free service, then fair enough. but im sure we have to pay for the PS1 games.

I agree - it would be idiotic of them to make a huge store for buying PS1 emus for the PSP, then purposefully exclude about 90% of the potential clients.
Not to say that they won't do just that...
