That's an odd attitude to take, what if you were the first person in line they said "sold out, sorry" to, you'd be miffed then would you not.

For the love of all that's normal, that is just mindless spoilt behavior, I don't know about you but my mum and dad taught me to look after my things, not trash them as soon as I bought them.

Because it's just a freaking console, not the secret to life. If you're a big enough tool that you stand in line for days, giving up either your job or your vacation time, to buy a hunk of metal and plastic, I have no sympathy if some douchebag busts said hunk of metal and plastic in front of you.
