Again, just settle down about it. It's the company that's in a distant third (or fans of that company, I don't know who made it) thumbing it's nose a bit at the one in first, while also poking fun at those idiotic Apple commericals (which, even as a Mac owner, are annoying and deserve it) . It's like when Pepsi makes commericals that make fun of Coke. It happens, and it's not that big of a deal.

yes but what im sayin' is that this stuff is made with intent, it doesn't talk about any Wii features but goes on to list a load of PS3 features in a bad light, with PS3 storming off as if it's lost an argument, the last thing you see is a message that Wii is more fun, if it was satire there would be jokes on both partys.

I could well be wrong, but to me it seems like a nintendo fan-boy having a go.

I think it's been too many years of computer/console wars , it started with Spectrum vs Amstrad and now it just get's on my nerve's, I just wish they'd leave the war to the company's involved and us the punters to enjoy whatever games and console's they throw at us.

They're not anti anything. They're making a parody of apple's commercials. In terms of gaming, PS3 is the behemot (PC) and the Wii definitely is the Mac (Nintendo rips off their designs all the time, after all). It's just a joke, there's no 'anti-something' statement in that message at all.

To my mind nobody goes to the trouble of making somthing like this unless they are biased, somone wrote that script, it came from somone's head, people that write screenplays/songs write from what they are inspired by and what they really feel and then dress it up, and I think this guy was inspired by a dislike for sony.

No shit, but if you care enough to give a shit about it instead of laugh at or with it depending on the side you are on, then you are taking something like videogames way to seriously. There are more important things in life to deal with other then shit like this. So Relax and laugh a little.

Personally i think Wii has more to offer for me at launch time. I'm getting a PS3 to sell on eBay while i'm thinking of getting a Wii for myself. Reason why i say this is because the PS3 offers me nothing. No game line-ups that i'm willing to cough up $600 for. I don't have HDTV so 90% of the consoles entertainment ability for me are useless.

Like said before, apple makes commercials about pc's being horrible. Do you really take them seriously. Everytime i see the commercial i laugh to tell you the truth. I laugh because apple stooped that low. I'm not banging on apple, because i'm actually on the virge of getting myself a MacBook Pro and i'm starting to like Apple based or OSX based computers. But i still think what apple did is an ignorant move by them. Because if PC made a commercial similar to it, it can also make fun of apple's flawed aspects.

I'd like to think the better comparison would be a cheap, bland, low class late-teens hooker for the Wii and a high class early thirties hooker for the PS3.

Alright, number 1 would be fun for a short while but would be ultimately unsatisfying.

Number 2 however may cost a little more but boy is she purty and she can do a lot more.

I don't like biased advertising and think you should shout up your own product, and not shout down your opositions.

I do kinda think it's a little absurd to use a young cutey to represent something that looks like a VCR and use a slightly frumpy plain woman to represent something which looks like it came out of Flight of the Navigator!

Basically, I'd object more if I thought this was meant to be a serious advert or if I thought it would influence purchase choices (because it's relying on making fun of someone elses product).
