The game is for kids. It has no depth in it and i believe it puts a bad name for many other MMORPG's which have more to deal with character development, yes in an MMORPG and story, then just grinding levels and challenging others to to battles. I played it for 2 months and quit.

FFXI was a far better MMORPG game. I like the fact that i didn't hit lvl 30 in 2 months in FFXI. I was leveling like crazy in WoW. Everything i did would give me XP including finding a new city or place and quests, which made it boring. I mean come on XP for finding a new town.

Although I agree with you to a certain extent Dmitry, XP is short had for experience right? You can't say (in real life) you wouldn't gain experience from visiting new places or doing certain jobs. It makes sense, but I definately see where you're coming from.

As for WoW, I used to play but ended up getting quite busy and found myself not having enough time to play it. Thinking of getting the expansion and trying to start up again around christmas though. Would do the same for FFXI but to my knowledge there isn't a sort of pre-paid card like WoW, were you can pay 2 or so months in advance, since I can't have a direct debit coming out of my bank.

It's fun when I play in groups of people that I know in real life. I definitely don't enjoy the grinding aspect of it, but that's something that I could say for most RPGs.

Still I can see myself getting sick and tired of this relatively soon.

I like the fact that there's an XP boost when you don't play for a while. It makes catching up to my coworkers much easier.

And as Goten said, what turns me off about FFXI is the lack of a game card. Not everyone has a credit card laying around or can ask for "daddy's" credit card. And I don't want to feel pressured to have to commit to that. With WoW, I have 2 months, then I can buy it again when I want to.

If you ask me, if you play games for too long, You'll just end up callin it quits because it MAY get boring.
