Just got this game again this week, will probably beat it tonight.

Just past the battle where you have to fend off like 300 raptors/cyclones/leopardos at once..... my god is that easily the most awesome thing in action games EVER.

I bought the first Z.O.E. back in the day because it had the MGS2 demo on it (which, looking back, was a really silly reason to spend 50 bucks on a game); it's a pretty good game, but I didn't like it enough to ever give the sequel a try. I would imagine that it'd be pretty cheap if I could find it now, maybe I'll give it a look sometime.

It was originally supposed to be a game to hold you off until MGS 2 came out but it became an instant hit. It became so good that a 2nd one was needed. It is one of the greatest games i've played.

ZoE 3 was just announced for PS3

The first ZOE basically had no Kojima involvement, and it showed.

The second one was done by Kojima's main team, and as such is about nine million times better. In fact, it's better than most MGS games.

And it'll cost you at least $40 these days. Used to cost more until GameQuestDirect started reprinting them.

Man, I forgot how much fun it is to use the Vic Viper in Vs. Mode.

I want Kojima to make a next-gen Gradius game! If the franchise were in his hands it would so totally own beyond belief.
