FF X. Definatly the best FF game as far as graphics go. Blitz Ball is amazing!!!!
But where storyline, game length & difficulty, character development & coolness, as well as over-all impact are concerned... I wouldn't pay money for, waste my time on ever again, or recommend this game to anyone. The storyline was horribly weak. Characters were less then what should be expected from an FF title. Auron was awesome, Lulu was cool, Jecth was cool, Wakka had his moments, & Kumari was a cool, fresh character idea. Rikku annoyed me, & Yuna... OH GOD Yuna! Yuna was like a bad dream involving a female Captain James D. Kirk. The game was short, unfufilling, not very hard in any aspect(hardest part is getting all the summons & Al Bhed translation thingies). The ladder half of the game was predictable, there were no twists in the story, no evolving plots, it was straight ahead, totally 1-way storyline. The ending was the biggest let down since FF 9's main character (Going from the legendary Cloud, to the more unspoken, troubled soul Squall, to that dinky little monkey boy was like going from Pantera to Fleetwood Mac). The Sphere Grid was a fresh, interesting, good idea for FFX, but it couldn't top the Materia or Junction systems of 7 & 8. I just truly beleive that overall, FFX was a dud, with a few good aspects to keep its head barely above water.& Runescape is 1 of the best games availible to play to date. Its unreal! P2P trading & fighting. TONS of skills to train that evolve your characters limits. Weekly updates(you can build your own house now & invite guests, with boxing rings to fight, your own thrown, tons of cool things). Its close to everything I want in a game. I get sick of JUST battling all the time. So in Runescpae I can mine then smith my own items to sell for cash. Or craft jewlery, or fish, cook, cut wood, make fires(if I was member I could make arrows, train agility, construction, farming), jesus theres no end to its depth & entertainment. Now being a game fan since FF 1, Dragon Warrior 1, Metal Gear, & Metal gear Snake's Revenge, I've always had a vision of "The Greatest Game Ever". Now that vision has grown & evolved alot with every new, kick ass game I played(Chrono Trigger, Civilization 1 & 2, Ogre Battle, Secret & Legend of Mana, Armored Core, Xeno Gears, Runescape, Tekken 1-5, Soul Edge/Calibur, FF1-10/Legends1-3/Tactics, & more. Now I mess around with RPG Maker 2000 & create my own games based on stories I've dreamed up in my free time since I was a kid. I'm working on a new project now called, Soul of Lancet ™(March of the Crimson Empire). Its an old school style rpg, mostly storyline driven(as a game should be). I'll post links to my site when the game is further into development. -peace- Last edited by 420 Bones : 10-31-2006 at 03:55 PM. Reason: Grammer!!! -_- *sigh* |

Yea, I just like using Edge to swim circles around people for a while, then score(99.9% of the time). But yea... it gets morbidly old(like everything else about FFX). I still stand by FF8 as being the best FF game to date(altho I haven't played 11 yet...). I know no one else on the planet agrees with me, between the noob'ish gamers being obsessed with X's graphics, & the DIE-HARD 7 fans(they are more like robots who worship FF7 then loyal game fans... its pathetic on multiple levels) most people overlook 8 completly, "It doesn't have Cloud in it, so it sucks!!", is the feeling I get from them sometimes. F*** it all man!!!! Saga Frontier!!! If you haven't played it yet, go find it NOW!! Its 1 of the best RPGs known to mankind. If you can complete each character's quest... your a God! I'm still spending hours trying to get past this 1 part in T260 G's quest!!!! Anyway.... -peace- |

But yes, Saga Frontier is a great RPG. That was indeed a lot of fun.
