PlayStation3?????

hello,
i come from germany and my english is not so good. i would like to import a playstation 3 from australia, but i dont know how expensive the console is. can anybody help me and say how expensive the ps3 is. its very important for me. thanks

why Australia? thats kinda weird eh?

you would be better getting a JP or USA one if you cant wait. or at least a UK one if for some reason you want it.. the Australian one will be PAL the same as the UK/Euro version. and will be delayed as such (?) i could be wrong. but the ozzy's always get stuff very very late.

anyway, go here to look in to importing.. www.lik-sang.com you'll see USA and JP and Euro consoles on sale for preorder and you can get them shipped to you.

Germany will probably get the PS3 before australia.

I have been all over Germany, beautiful country you have there.

true. the Euro release is bound to be before the Oz's get their mitts on it.

i remember when Australia got GTA.. not only was it terribly late compared to USA and UK, but it was censored like a blue movie on BBC1 at 6pm.. in other words... cut to hell.

BUT saying that, Japan got GTA at the same time(ish) as the rest of us were playing Vice City.. still they get games we will never see, so fair do's really.

Jak9000, you should wait mate... maybe buy the extra pads, mem sticks and whatever you may need for a more comfortable PS3 play, early from HongKong in case theres a shortage where you live, otherwise i would just wait for your PAL region PS3.

plus if the PS3 goes wrong, you can send it back. if you had a Oz Ps3.. Sony wouldnt touch it.

I should imagine the PS3 will be about 1.68 times whatever the Euro cost is as that is the exchange rate at the moment. Give one of your local game stores a call to ask them the cost.

As others have said, I would stick to getting a PS3 from closer to home or if you want a November machine then order from US or Japan.
