Is it just me or does anyone else think this game is a waste of shelf space.

The story missions don't use even half the map, it's full of bug's and gliches, the cars handle like melting butter, flying is ok but then you get blown out of the sky and you don't know what it was or where it came from, you fail a mission your not told why and the controls in general are damm awful.

As soon as I can be arsed Im trading it in, by far my worst purchase of the year.

Darth mate.. have you played Mercenaries yet?

trust me, if you havent then you should hot foot it to GAME and exchange.
unless you havent played San Andreas?

from what i have read and seen just Cause is a mix between SA and Mercs. but doesnt come close in terms of quality.

i dont need to convince anyone that GT: SA is good, because for all its faults, it is one hell of a game. Mercs on the other hand is pure quality in a serious way. i just love that game, and cant wait for the next installment on the PS3.

so i know that Just Cause isnt great by the previews, reviews, screens and vids... but is it 'really' that unplayable? ive brought games before where everyone says its bad, and have had to admit that they were right, but every now and again you buy a game that everyone hates that actualy rather good in a 'dont tel anyone im playing it' kinda way

GTA: SA is one of the best games of the generation, easy. There's really not much that's better.

Mercenaries was hella fun, but I just couldn't finish it. Once I got to a certain point, I realized I was doing basically all the same things to accomplish objectives. It just got far too repetitive too quickly. Other than that, though, the game really was a blast. I'd definitely think about buying another installment.

DK, should have asked me about the 360 version (you could have come round and played the demo).

I got as far as trying to land on a car by parachute. Missed completely and had to chase it down on foot. I then nicked a car and the mission failed as he got away.

At this point I thought screw this shit and turned it off.

You are right dillon, it is the sort of "bad" game if you like, that some people will love despite it's faults, but it's like gabe said, if you miss landing on a car the chance's of a car passing in the right direction and right speed to grapple on to are slim and that's mission over, Its instance's like this through out that piss's one off.

Picked Mercs up the other day for £12

Dillon you are right mate it is a great game, so much freedom. My PS2 it getting much more use now, what with that and SWBF2 being replayed again

i played Mercs for months at first. its the way you can just chill out on a mountain, and the fact that you put a cheat in and play the whole game as Indy! ...tho you do unlock that character skin anyways, its still very cool. better imo than the correct characters.

i stopped playing it 2/3 way through, got to the 3 of Spades or something. then about 6 months ago i picked it up again and completed it...

so few games that you buy these days, that stun you in terms of graphics, playability and freedom are rarely just as great many months down the line after playing newer better looking titles.
But this one was, it was such a nice way to finish off the game, still captivated as when i first played it.

BenD... i know what you mean! i stopped playing it the 'proper' way after the Ace of Diamonds i think it was or clubs.. the last suit of the first half of the map anyways.
how I carried on playing it was to tirelessly walk, drive and fly my way round the whole country looking in every nook and crany. saw some superb locations (sorry, i didnt have time for postcards) and eventually i found (mostly) every one! tho a couple of ones i did have to look up on an FAQ.. but that was fun, like i had sourced my own intelligence

The best thing about it is that there was a lot of hype about the game when it first came out, but it lived up to it

Still enjoying mercs, about to finish the second set of card(Diamonds) sucha giggle to play. Although flying the helicopters can be a bitch. You will enjoy it DK. It is such a shame it did not get online play with it
