The Funny Man

SO I played it tonight, thoughts:
Nothing really upgraded substantially... But noticable features after first play.... - Onsides kicks is absolutely amazing. Gives you the feeling like you actually have a chance to get it, which you do (i.e. YOU CAN GET IT TO BOUNCE) You can pin point where on the ball you want to kick it... - Special move stick - Hit up on R3 with a strong player and he will try and run the guy over - Hit up on R3 with a finess player and he will do a very nice razzle dazzle move - Kickiong in general is made a it easier. Just hit up on R3 and Down on R3 to stop, L3 controls location of kick. - the QB thing they started last year, even better.. YOu never have to use it but if oyu decide to you can hit a button and use it manually for more percision!!! VERY NICE EA... Thats all I can come up with now.. PS2 Gameplay 8 Graphics 8 controls 9 Sound - 8 Replay - 10 Overal - 8.5 The features were great but for some reason it felt like they are spending most of their time on Next-Gen Madden or somehting, it was just lacking somehting. But for myself and all madden fans alike, a great game! pick it up.

Giddy up, bitch!

I finally got around to picking this up about a week ago, and I think they did a pretty good job this year. Most of the little tweaks they made work out pretty well, although the highlight stick can be a little gimmicky. Love the new kicking controls though, I sucked ass at field goals with the old system, but I've been pretty money so far with this one. And like you said, they locked up the passing cone thing pretty well. It was annoying as hell last year, but I've been playing around with it this year and it seems to work a lot better.
Right now I'm addicted to superstar mode. I created myself as a RB and have had a lot of fun tearing up the league my first year. |
