the best trouble free online games ive played are Timesplitters 3 and Socom.. lots and lots of fun

I hear that Burnout Revenge is meant to be very good, but ive never been able to get it to work

although Battlefield Modern Combat would be fantastic... if you have a good stable connection. mine wasnt so stable, but i love dthat game when it ran fine.

the only problem that i find, is that because the PS2 isnt anywhere near as popular online as Xbox Live, i find that online games go out of fashion really quickly.

like Splinter cell 2.. no one plays that anymore so i had go and buy the 3rd. and then when i did buy it, there was hardly anyone on there because it had been out for over 6months, but i can imagine it was full when the game first came out.

i reckon that MGS is still pretty strong online at the moment though.

Socom was already said but yeah... Socom, MGS, and Madden is all I ever really play consistently. I've played Timesplitters, MidNight Club, and Area 51 online though and they ran pretty steady.

Battlefield 2 is probably the most fun of all titles mentioned. Especially if you find a good room. Timesplitters 3 is fun in short bursts as it is fast and furious, watch out for the monkeys.

I just picked up Urban Chaos Riot Response which is a fine game but not many online whatsoever. I think it has been vastly overlooked.

It definately has been overlooked.
I had heard nothing whatsoever on it until i went into local games shop the other day and saw the cover.
Rented it and had a right blast on it.
Picking this up in the next couple of weeks most definately!
