Anyone else upgrade to 2.71 and get the LocoRoco demo?

I know you Brits have been playing the game already, but it doesn't come out here until September.

After playing the demo, I have to say that I'm looking forward to getting the game. Very nice. It's got a really campy flavor to it. Simple, yet entertaining. And the little "song" they sing is great. Seems like it should get annoying, but it doesn't...

I think the N.A. release for Loco Roco is September 2006.

The update is free, though. As is the demo.

yep, Ive completed it!

not to the point that im 100% perfect, but the game is completed and ive been going back to make perfect.

great game.


you kow too many games give you a rock 'ard boss level, that takes you a few lives to get past.. well Loco isnt like that.

every level is FUN. and when you come to complete the game you still have a smile on your face!

all the different Locos have a personality.. its just joy.

whether you buy it and play it to death then sell it.. you wont regret it. it is a keeper in my eyes, but not for everyone. but I do believe that everyone should give it a go.. its just a lovely game.


yeh, I got 2.71 but because my psp is Japanese.. I got an extra thing! I got PSTV which as far as I can tell is only on the Jp psps. my GF has a UK psp and the 2.71 upgrade doesnt give you the pstv. im not sure about the USA psp

PSTV is an icon just under the internet icon. you click it and it takes you directly to a site where you can download TV, films and cartoons. as well as babes and other piccys... very cool. but I cant use it as I dont have a password

I have the US model and I don't think I have the PSTV either.

The Loco demo is fun though, got a way through then had to stop, will definately play again though. It is nice to play something 'different'

yeh, its unusual to play a 'fun' game in these times.

theres a lot of levels too.. about 40 in about 5 worlds.
each world has about eight stages, all every different from each other. all very weird and very cool.

one of my fav stages is the animal stage.. a HUGE animal eats you and you have to travel through its insides to reach the end.. lol, its very funny.

...and dare I say it... cute!

is it worth £35? Hmmm... I would say yes. because if you play it, complete it, then you would get a reasonable trade in price. and if you kept it you wouldnt be disapointed.
plus if you spent £35 and you hated it.. then you take it back to the shop and say "my sister brought this for me, but I already have it.. can I swap it for something".. lol, I swear GAME thinks I have a really stupid sister!

it is a lot of money for a seemingly simple 2D game. but as you know from the demo.. this game was made with love.

I think it actually only came out in June (so, that's like one month ago).

Besides, Cat missed it, too...

And for the record, I did look around to see if there was a Loco Roco thread already, but I didn't see it. The only reason I mentioned the update to 2.71 was because it's required for playing downloadable demos.
