Default Virtua tennis psp problem!!!!

Hello, I am trying to play virtua tennis world tour multiplayer but for some reason when i create game in 1 psp and press join game in the other the second psp says NO GAMES FOUND. even though i have the wifi on in both the psp's. I checked the adhoc setting and the channel is set to Automatic.

any ideas what the problem might be?

I have both umd's of Virtua teniis world tour

i take it that both games are the same region?

failing that it, maybe one of the games may have a prob? because it sound like you have done everything you can to get it working.

try starting a wifi match on the other psp..?

well i am not sure about the region, but I think that shuldnt be a problem ....should it?

both the games are working perfectlly fine in single player mode. One of them i just bought yesterday.

Ok i checked the UMD's and 1 says manufactured in N. america and the other in Europe, could that really be a problem?.

how do i start a wifi match??

yes, that would be your problem then. I don’t think there are any games on the psp that work wifi between regions.

I have a mate who buys EU games, I buy my games early (lol) and usually buy either Japanese or American. but when we go to play GTA or Golf etc.. they don’t work

I had to go out and re-buy the same games in the same region as him in order for them to work.

so I would say that its a good 90% chance that is the reason you cannot play the two in wifi.

my suggestion around this...

if you live in the UK or Europe then sell your American version and pick up another EU copy or visa versa if you live in the States.

you will find that most Game shops wont take another countries region when it comes to games, so if you sell one on Ebay or find a shop that will take it.. that should solve your problem. Or sell the game that is your region and pick up the other from Ebay. Virtua Tennis is quite cheap now, so you may even make a couple of quid.. who knows!

I do think its stupid that they don’t work between regions, and I know its just a matter of time before they sort this out. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was games out there for the psp that did work between regions, but im afraid I don’t know of any.

you wont find a better Tennis game imo on any system than Virtua Tennis. it works perfectly too on the PSP. a great game!

tho watch this space as the next HotShots game is a tennis one. and if their Golf game is anything to go by.. this Tennis game could be very good indeed..

tho the characters may well have HUGE heads.. lol
