Question Yah, but what about the PSP???

I'm disappointed there was no (reported) news of the PSP rumored downloadable content.

When are we really gonna get to download PS1 games, and how much are they gonna cost???

How much memory are we gonna need to have.

So many questions, so few answers...

you mean at E3?

Sony didnt do too well eh? lets just hope its because they were soooo damn busy making the PS3 great and working all night and day on the PS1 emu for the PSP... that they woke up on the morning of E3 with "oh F**K ... what day is it, oh crap i had better get me shoes on"

maybe...ahem

Their focus was clearly the PS3 again. It's like they (generally-speaking) don't give a shit a whole lot about the PSP. I like the thing, but there's very few games coming out for it that I want to play (mainly because most of the high profile games are almost like their console brethren).

Locco Roco, you're my only hope!

lol.. LocoRoco is fantasic.

at first I was.."erm.. yeh, what does this button do? hmmmm crap"

10 mins later im "wow. this is just great"

4 days later im on GameFaq's looking at the release dates.

I want PS2 type games on the go. you dont.. it serves both of us, and I think thats fantastic. there isnt a handheld that can offer that.

I think that Sony didnt really need to go in to details about the PSP because it probably didnt need to. we all want to be told theres new stuff out there for it, and I guess they could of spent all day saying what they had planned, but like you say ..they had bigger fish to fry. the PS3 needs publicity, not that it got it particually well, lol..

but you know, I think that it got a hefty boot up the arse at E3, and that can only be a good thing. its a decent console (hope so) and im sure it will be as great as all the other Playstations.

but they just need to keep their feet on the ground with this one. from what Ive seen of the bits and bobs that make a console, the PS3 has them all and then some.. so they just need to keep their heads on and make it work for us.. the gamers.

The PSP did get a mention at E3 with regards to downloadable content.

It was only brief, but they showed the original Ridge Racer as an example of the games you'd be able to download. I think it's pretty much all going to be old PS1 games.

Also they showed it being used as a rear view mirror (wi-fi link)for the new F1 game for the PS3, I thought that was pretty cool!

Ya, I didn't find any new dowload content from E3 online anywhere. I think they are getting them ready, but I want more demos lol. OPM should get their hands on some psp demos and put them on the demo disc. Speaking of OPM, where the hell is the new issue (canada wise) It's the 23rd today and still no June issue

Interesting. To me, that "rear view mirror" idea seemed really hoaky.

To each their own, I guess.

Bhindi: it had been my understanding that the only downloads would be PS1 games. What I was really wondering was when are they going to start making them available for download and how much memory will each game require on your card.

I see you can pick up a 2 GB card on Amizon.com for $63. Just wondering if it'd be wise to hold out for a bigger card, or if the 2-gigger will suffice.

I've been surviving off my 512 since I got it, but was gonna get a 1 gig. But now with 4gigs out I'm just gonna most likely grab a 2 gig myself.

As cool as being able to DL'd the older games is I''ll be too busy playing newer games. If I want the original that bad I'd probably go try to get a used copy. but there might be a few i do get maybe, but nost likely not unless they are really priced low.

I got the 2gb duo. Was $199.99 in December or so. I don't listen to music on my psp (have 30gb ipod video for that) and for pics it's only like 4 on there for my backgrounds.

Vids and dvd rips can handle a good part of it (still not a full dvd of course without losing quality) So, I don't put much vids on it. Once the downloaded games and more demos come out (only have locoroco on it) it should fill up good.
